Oh god how I've been waiting for this. I loved the name, loved art style and felt like this game would understand something I've been through. And it did, fully. Though I see how many things were changed since demo, I still loved it. For all hard workers out there, this one for you. And thank you, Poética Software, for not dropping the game, it means a lot me
This is the first time I've played a visual novel, and after playing this game, I realize I took way too long to check out this genre. Now, let me talk about the game itself: it's fantastic! The art is beautiful, and the story is engaging. Honestly, it feels like I'm reading a book that I can interact with, and instead of having to imagine everything, it's all right there, drawn for me in the best and most beautiful way possible. It's a game that manages to convey the various atmospheres the story needs: When you're supposed to feel anguish and sadness, you feel it; When you need to feel afraid, you feel it; When it's supposed to be fun, you laugh. The art and the writing are all so well done that they transport you right into these moments. It's so good! The way the game is written, the dialogue and the characters, the way they react—everything makes it feel so believable. You know, it's like I can actually see myself in these situations. It's really good. The environment, the art, and the sounds make me want to explore the game, walk around, and get to know the city and the district where the game takes place. The characters... April, we should get married! Mia, take your anxiety meds. Jake is so badass—don't look at him, April. Wayne, my friend, work isn't everything. No matter how much you work, you'll never have your rich cousin's money (Batjokes). I think it can all be summed up like this: I'm grateful this was my first VN!
Good visual novel. Really liked the art and characters. I have some issues with the ending but it's still worth checking out.
The ending seems to be rushed. The story has horror elements, but in the final moments it shifts toward fantasy and abandons both horror and the real world, which I expected to be a temporary departure at first. As a result, many of those mysteries and horror aspects don't receive much payoff, which makes the conclusion feel sudden.
this game was more than i ever expected, and it's been my most anticipated release for like a year. i was so excited to play it, and it was so, so rewarding. i loved that instead of being supernatural, the horror elements were all parts of the real world, and it was more philosophical (though with simple messages) than fantastical. much love to the developers, i'm seriously so impressed and i can't wait to see more from them!!!
i really loved this. the art is just fantastic and the story left me with much to think about
An extremely good passion project by a team of (I believe) two people. It is their first, and hopefully not last, foray into narrative storytelling via novel or game format. Pros: - Themes, art, grammar, word choice are all on point and beyond what I would expect - The characters are enjoyable even the sort of 'antagonist' - I appreciate the fact not all of the worldbuilding is given a definitive answer as it helps the atmosphere - All of the little detailing and things you can miss I honestly have nothing as a con or negative to list as I feel that is detrimental to instilling confidence in a team of two people, there really isn't anything here I could call a problem. I would've liked to see what happened from other character perspectives, I would've liked more 'hell' like scenes, or more worldbuilding. But again, nitpicks. What Poética has made and released despite the hardships they've listed both on steam and on other social media, is beyond good for what it is. Looking forward to the future with this team should they pursue it.
The level of craft and attention to detail in this VN is stunning. Bonus points for letting me read chat history between characters, I love it when games do that. Great story that kept me hooked until 3:30am on a work night (worth it)
Man, I really enjoyed this game and really recomend it. I loved the atmosphere and the story was quite interesting with it's branching paths that reveal it from different points of view. The supernatural elements really hit the spot for me, with the visuals and music setting the tone amazingly. I just wish that it was maybe a little bit longer, regardless it was a great experience for me and I hope more people will find this game.
Intriguing plot and setting, with a touching and very real message at the end.. Also the art style and music are well crafted and fitting to the tone of the story. There are no cheap jumpscares, it's very tasteful. Played on a Steam Deck from start to finish, and the game has a native Linux build (it's RenPy).
i was interested in game from demo and i had quite high expectations. result did not disappoint at all. characters have their own personalities, which helps to empathize with them. as someone of about their age also working in an office (fortunately without overtime) i even associated myself with them. atmosphere is also well conveyed, sometimes calm and even cheerful, and sometimes tense and a little scary. i am very pleased with this game and kinda upset that so few people know about it. Ill definitely keep an eye on the developers' new games.
