Back in 2020 I played so many random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games due to the strange issue that is having too much free time. After a certain point I started getting sick of video games, and then I happened to play NMH because it was rereleased on switch. It completely rewired my brain. On one hand, it's "just" a mid-2000s hack n slash (one that does have addicting combat once its mechanics click). On the other, it's a shockingly clever revenge story with phenomenal characters and writing, that brags about just how style over substance it is, while having plenty of substance. There's no reason for a random action game on the Wii to have such a memorable cast, and such brilliantly written themes, but it has them anyway. The second I was done playing this game for the first time I became obsessed with SUDA51's work, and, as far as his directorial / lead writer stuff goes, he never disappoints. Anyways just for fun: NMH2 is a great game that's not nearly as good as the first, Travis Strikes Again (which is a main game and cannot be skipped) is better than many say it is and is almost as good as NMH1 (just play it with an open mind and without expecting it to play like NMH), and NMH3, despite several flaws, is secretly the best game regardless of what literally anyone else will tell you. Welcome to the garden of madness.
Play as a lightsaber wielding, perverted, wrestling obsessed, weeb as you kill equally weird assassins to reach the number 1 rank in the United Assassins Association. This is one of my favourite games and other than a few graphic issues it's a good port. So trust your force and join me in the Garden of Madness.
Do not try and buy all the clothing as you play. I feel like this game is trying to say something but I can't exactly tell what. Also the last boss is ass.
Amazing game that is full of comedy, 4th wall breaks, fun gameplay, and boss mechanics. The best part of this game is definitely the feel of the combat system, the comedy of the cutscenes and the ability to always throw you off guard. Note of Advice, Don't click one of the endings, make sure to make 2 saves to go back to so you can see the true and reg ending. If you want the true buy all three katanas. ALSO, the workouts for upping stats are locked to each boss fight so you have to do them directly after each boss or you'll have to replay the game. P.S the baseball timing is based on how long you wait to hit it. This game is amazing and i would highly recommend it but MAKE SURE to do everything right the first time if you want to save a lot of hours. Final note this game goes by manual saves so don't close the game without saving.
I think the game is really funny and I really enjoyed everything that wasn't gameplay. The overworld portion of the game is so bad, I hate the bike. Having to drive to the jobs and assassination missions had me banging my head against the desk. I enjoyed the last few hours of the game a lot more than the first ~12. I don't think I can recommend this game because I was just not having fun for the majority of my time playing it. The combat was not that engaging for me and I found it boring, the wrestling moves just turned into alternate cutscenes and I was hoping they would be something more. Maybe I will play the other NMH games, I will have to look into them to see if they cater to me more than NMH1. - sent from the porcelain throne on my steam deck™
I, I will be Travis And you, you will be Sylvia Though nothing will drive Assassins away We can beat them, just for one day We can be No More Heroes just for one day
STRAWBERRY ON THE SHORTCAKE!
easily one of my faves of all time. Travis is an amazing protag, the music is top tier and the story/characters are both bizarre and amazing to the point where I can't even describe it well enough to do it justice. heavily recommended
у меня нет слов чтоб описание какие эмоции мне подарила эта игра это было слишком хорошо для игры всем у кого мониторы больше 60 гц советую поставить lossless scaling и наслаждаться плавностью а не рванной картинкой
Waited years to play Suda's demented masterpiece and it was worth the wait
