About
Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon, VOYAGERS (6.0), Remnant, Xeno Arena and The Swarm.
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Don't let this fool you — I have over 168 hours of this game on Playstation alone. This has to be one of the most addicting games ever, Even on my clunky PS4, this thing ran and gave me hour of enjoyment. Now, there are definitely performance issues at times, so that takes a bit of tinkering. But once you set that up on PC, it runs buttery smooth. I just adore this game, the content that has been added over the years, and the stupid stuff you and your friends can get up to. The expeditions keep me coming back for sure. Purchase this game already!
This game has come such a long way and it's great now. Well done, everyone involved.

it's soooooooooo ggggoooooodddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After putting this game off my backlog for half a decade, I finally had an urge to boot it up. I have almost played this game at least a little bit every single day ever since. After a couple months I've hit around half a thousand hours give or take. This is a fantastic space exploration game + survival game. Visiting various planets becomes a bit repetitive after your first, oh i dunno 2 or 3 dozen. The points of interest get looped and reused after a certain point but getting to that point takes a fair bit of time, it's mildly forgivable for that reason. Collecting ships, the grind for parts and upgrades, more multi-tools, learning of new mechanics that were added in the years of updates this game gets, it's hard to imagine this was the same game I saw get "released" a full 10 years ago. Had I not known the story behind Hello Games, I would have never even gotten this game on sale years ago where it would sit in my Steam library for so long, only to be finally picked up this year. Many people lazily compare this game to "Minecraft, but in space" but personally I feel it's more akin to "Valheim, but in space" with the urge to build F.O.B.s every 5 or so jumps, the progression of metal ores, and general feeling of exploring an unknown and empty realm. The game is often touted as this amazing feat, where the fact that the in-game universe is so big and so massive that we wouldn't be able to explore it all. While it's impressive, I feel the real strong feeling the game instills is giving you a little pocket of the universe you get to explore, and every now and then you can sometimes see a system or planet that was discovered by another player months, years, or sometimes just weeks prior to you. The game's repetition really hits after a few hundred hours, and once you beat the story along with most other new added content via free updates, it's easy to see how people get bored of this game. Granted, they're getting bored after hundreds and hundreds of hours, so I feel that's not a big deal for this kind of game. Sometimes they're not engaging with all available content, such as the creature arena (never do PvP, you're either going up against little timmy with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or you're up against Super Mega CTC with a hacked and impossible moveset involving stalling with HP absorb shields and stuns in a game with no PP system like Pokemon), the expeditions, etc. This game has lots of things to offer, but it's very possible to do it all before the thousand-hour mark. If you're looking for a forever game, this is not it, you will be dropping this game in and out of your rotation over time. However, it always will come back if you enjoy it due to how frequent this game gets free content updates and all the expeditions that are to come. This game is massively worth it, even more-so on sale.
i was once an idiot with a skill issue who used to hate this game after starting out on survival mode. case in point: "horrible game and one of the worst experiences ive ever forced myself to suffer through. lost an hour and a half of progress because the game kept throwing sentinel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at me every 2 minutes which runs you out of fuel, strands you, and gives you no other option than to let them destroy you and erase your progress" boy was i stupid. yeah this is a great game
Forget open world, this ♥♥♥♥ is OPEN UNIVERSE! Along with the already peak gameplay, every update adds so much new stuff you never run out of things to do. Really fun game, 10/10.
