No idea what people like about the Nioh series. Horrible combat IMHO. Big no from me!
好像是17年249原价买的,只玩了几个小时。。。好像3代都出了。。。现在我要捡起来了。。
Quick Summary: Do you like the Souls-like brutality? Get this game. Do you like Onimusha's story and mix of horror and Japanese aesthetic? Get this game. Do you like Dynasty Warrior's political drama and sweeping war feeling? Get this game? Do you like Diablo's random weapon drop itemization and grinding? Get this game. As the first game in the Nioh series, this game has a identity all on it's own, yet it's parts come from all over to create the bones for something fun and special. Highly recommended for the amount of content/time for you're money and to see where the start of something was. -See Below for Deeper Review- Gameplay: I'm not going into the deep details on the combat system. I am a souls-like fan, and while this has souls-like things, it's faster pace, mission based structure and power building makes it more akin to a Action RPG ala Diablo in my book. The game like I said is mission base. With each mission taking place in it's own area, that are pretty large on their own. With interconnected and back tracking pieces, exploration, items to find/grind for, etc. The game is third person with various weaponry such as Katana's, Hammers, Long poles, etc. Each with their own move set and weights. Secondary weaponry comes in the form of bows, guns etc. Along with standard armor pieces all with their own varied designs and changes the look of the protagonist William. William? That's right in this game you do not make you're own design character, but instead play a pre-defined one. While disappointing at first, it didn't actually defer me from my enjoyment, actually by the end of the game, I cared for and liked William a lot. The big draw to this game is the guardian spirits, animal like spirits with different elementals and status changes that can be equipped. When you're spirit meter is full you can channel them into you're weapon for more power and spectacular looking moves. It's quite fun seeing all the different ones. After each main mission, you unlock sub-missions/quests for each stage, along with a 20 floor abyss dungeon that can be ran. This game has content for days, some of it a little grindy at times. Overall fantastic start to the series for gameplay and had me remembering my time with all the games it came from, but also let this one stand alone. Storyline: You play William, the Anjin, Irishman, and samurai. Imprisoned in the tower of London by Queen Elizabeth 1 to keep the secret of Amrita, a stone with magical powers found in abundance in Japan. England wishes to use this power to win the war over Spain. With the help of a Guardian Spirit William breaks out, chases the villainous Kelley to Japan and begins his adventure "catching them all" Guardian Spirit style while watching a game of Dynasty Warriors play out around him. The game uses many historical figures from Japan around the 1600's to flesh out the story and you begin to enjoy many of the side characters you meet, but also watch just as many come and die along the way. I won't spoil much, but the games political turmoil mixed with Yokai, all are told through cutscenes, animated drawings at times for backstories of certain characters, dialogue from spirits within the missions, etc. All done very well, and is fun for what it is. Graphics: The game came out in 2017 and feels and looks great almost 10 years later. The engine runs silky smooth with great lighting, decent textures for the time and large wonderful both dreary and sometimes colorful environments. I never really stopped to think about the age of the game as I was playing until going to write this review. They hold up that well. The enemy designs are all well made with the usual fair of zombie/skeleton samurai, large demon like creatures and fun designs for the guardian spirits rounding out things to give them game a familiar feel to the time period / style, but also making it it's own game. Sound/Music: The music is all Asian inspired period pieces for the most part and short of the title screen / main theme music I couldn't pick a single track out of a line up out. It's good for what it is, but it's not memorable either short of that main theme. The voice acting is where this game actually kind of shines. The game uses the Japanese voice overs when they speak natively, but William a Irishmen speaks in his English voice and the voice actor both sounds and does a great job. It's strange, but I give them a lot of props as it made me feel more in line with the story for them doing it this way. Sound effects are you're standard fair, nothing ground breaking. Final Thoughts: Nioh is the sum of many ideas that created a new ip/series that as the series goes on seems to become it's truly own thing. The storyline/graphics are great even after all these years, the gameplay a mix of so many choices is actually both fun and complex at times. The real short coming and I don't know if I can even fault it for this is the length of gameplay. The game seemed to both drag on for the main missions afterwhile, but the storyline kept me going and I can see both the enjoyment and boredom that would come with doing all the sub-missions and grinding for gear. Yet, if given the time back in the day, this would have been great for the content to pay ratio. I highly recommend you don't put this game off you're list with Nioh 2 and 3 out there. You see where it started and enjoy it for what it is.
7/10
Si lo que buscas es el infierno hecho fichin! ¿pues que esperas? hechale una viciada al NIOH!!
F.
Superbly difficult and rewarding game.
Troppe meccaniche di gioco fastidiose gettate addosso al giocatore tutte assieme.
I love the variety in techniques, the weapons, the buffs and playstyle. So worth just testing out skills in combat, highly recommend coz its just too epic
