Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Nioh 2 is an extremely well-made entry in the soulslike genre that I personally can't recommend. An otherwise great game that collapses under the weight of its systems management. Mechanically, Nioh 2 is fairly strong, though I take umbrage with the title's parry windows. In the age of wireless controllers and HDMI gaming, just-frame or even 3-frame parry windows aren't sufficient anymore. It would be fine if Nioh 2 were running off RAM and a CRT, but not with the amount of input lag baked into today's standard hardware. You have a dizzying array of combat options available to you, and experience is gained through weapon or skill use. Many skills are only available or useful against human targets, which make up the vast minority of targets, making me question the inclusion of the skills in the first place. I have no good things to say about the human bosses. They cheat on a level that isn't remotely fun or fair, (such as infinite ammo and stamina) at least the Yokai have rules. Ki (Stamina) starvation, rather than enemy difficulty will be your number 1 cause of death, doubly so if you don't have the OCD to hit ki pulse after every. single. combo. Honestly the Ki system alone is enough to make me recommend "Rise of the Ronin", Team Ninja's more recent, friendlier offering, instead. The overall narrative is fine, you play as one half of a mythologised Toyotomi Hideyoshi, helping out Oda Nobunaga and the other notable names of the Sengoku Jidai as he works to unify Japan. The issue I have is the same as nearly other soulslike: the world doesn't make any practical sense. Humans should be extinct in the world of Nioh. The yokai hunters are all dead, there's no indication of the existence of a society to feed Nobunaga or his armies, and there's not a stitch of architecture that isn't rotted, frozen, or on fire. Unifying Japan seems like it should be a much lower priority than say, the gatekeepers of Jigoku running literally roughshod through the countryside murdering people. Re-using levels for side content is fine, but making me play through the same flavor of misery factory 3 times is too many, either make a new level or cut the dross. The final straw was the sheer amount of systemic management in the game. Once the game opens up past the tutorial zone, you're likely to spend as much or more time in management screens as the actual game itself. Beyond loot being largely meaningless once you find a setup you like, there's something like 3 or 4 different vendors to hock the crap you don't want, and going through 200 entries on a controller bites. Onmyo Magic, Ninjutsu, and regular consumables all have to fit inside the 8 (7 in practical terms, as the "Estus Flask" takes up a slot) quick item slots, severely limiting your in-fight tactical options. Guardian Spirit magic is also a thing, but it's a Destiny-style economy: extremely inefficient resource generation with "you get to use your Super exactly once" mission design. The gleaming towers of exciting Japanese fairy tale combat crumble due to the high-test fuel of unchecked tactical possibility. Each individual mechanic is fine on its own, but the limitations of the UX and the controller force you to specialize when the game really wants you to interact with everything all the time.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Amazing and challenging game! I loved the deeper dive into the world of the yokai this time around. And as with the first game, all the DLC is pretty excellent.

I quitted the game after the first region, and after some time passed, I wanted to give it another chance. The main points that I didn't like in this game are as follows: - The upgrades and skills system is confusing, and key skills are easily missable, which made doing and trying builds a hassle process and boring. - The loot, though it does not really matter in the first run, still I hate the RNG aspect of it and how grindy it can become. - The weapon proficiency system is BS, basically another way to grind the game even more. The game isn’t really bad; some people will be okay with the con points I mentioned. The controls and inputs feel great, and it runs bug free for me
I am addicted to soulslikes so when I heard about this I had to play it, I didn't have Playstation but then ffwd a few months and I get a rog ally. We'll it just so happened koei tecmo was having a sale and I picked up the complete edition of this game for 9.99 and nioh 1 for 7.99 and I experienced the most fun I've ever had in gaming since elden ring. I cannot recommend this game enough I am over 150 hrs deep and still having a blast thank you team ninja if you don't have this and you want epic challenging gameplay and addictive build crafting you owe yourself this experience and its on sale again now is the time.
