It’s been several months since Nina defended the Rostro Racers in court, and Fledge City residents eagerly anticipate the next season of the home-grown streaming show hit: the magical girl sensation, Valkyrie: Sacred Feathers!
But when an on-set lover’s tiff takes a dark turn, Nina Aquila is tasked with defending Millia Nordin, the lead actress, in a murder case that defies explanation, even by the defendant herself.
North of the city, dissent grows as the Bikers of the Wastes are vanishing without a trace. Seeking answers, a lone rider saddles up for the long journey south, seeking the one man who she knows can help her.
With Millia in custody, tension on the streets of Fledge City rises as each night brings with it unnatural, unexplainable events; disappearances, explosions, tales of monsters sighted in dark alleyways. This new installment of Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle takes inspiration from Magical Girl anime, where teenage girls who are (often) pure of heart are given magical powers and fight monsters to save Earth from corruption. Sacred Feathers has a solid storyline that baits you in one direction while dropping hints leading to the real answer. Besides the main case, you're also treated to some major miscommunication drama between Nina and Dylan, with both characters' pasts starting to come back to the surface. The defendant of the previous game also returns as a major supporting character, playing the role of the classic "civilian side character supporting his protagonist friends". NALE IV features a cast of characters all grappling with their histories in their own ways, from characters who refuse to acknowledge what happened to ones who refuse to let go. The game does have some blatant fanservice, so if that's a dealbreaker maybe don't play it, but other than that it's definitely worth the 7 dollars you pay for it. (also please more Chad content I love that insufferable prick)
Well at this point it doesn’t really matter if the games are good, I’m in it for the long haul. Just like the ace attorney games. Even The Ace Attorney Game That Must Not Be Named. Fortunately they are great and the very creative minigames continue to top the attorney game charts!
