Great game. Good progression, love what they did with it

This game is just awesome. It has a ton of weapons, a progression system, a scary story and very addictive gameplay. The graphics are nothing to write home about but it was purposely made in this style. That's a bit of a shame because this would have been even better with nicer graphics. The levels also seem either randomly generated or created with AI. You can easily spot it in scenes that.. just make no sense at all. But that doesn't stop you from having fun in this game. The game also gets more and more challenging the further you get but not to the point where its not fun anymore. It has been a while since I enjoyed playing a shooting game this much. I definitely recommend it!

Many reviews will be talking about this game from the perspective of it's visuals and gameplay. Let's be blunt, you can gauge if you enjoy that from the trailer. It's a boomer shooter roguelike. What impressed me was how well the game runs in multiplayer. My friend connected to me with about the longest distance you can think of (UK to NZ) and a 300 ping and barely felt any lag. Always gotta give a thumbs up to a game we can play together.

I go into every game hoping to enjoy it, because why not right? There's a lot here that looks generally appealing, typical boomer shooter affair, retro-style graphics, cheesy metal music and references, over-the-top violence, rogue-lite elements, tons of weapons, etc... None of it comes together correctly. Really, one of the biggest issues is that the level design just sucks, it's so uninteresting to actually navigate through these levels. I'm not even sure if they're all procedurally generated or if they're just really, really boring. The weapons are like, fun enough to use, but plenty of games are way more fun with a smaller roster of weapons where each one feels really good to use and fits a specific role. The whole 2-weapons system is just garbage, Call of Duty stuff. Boomer shooters should really always work off of a larger roster of immediately available weapons. The enemies are totally forgettable and not fun to fight. So much is happening on screen that I couldn't even tell when I was taking damage. The art style is boring. And maybe the worst, in order to get past certain doors you will have to kill all enemies on the level, and I was not able to get through literally a single level without stragglers randomly getting left behind. So 50% of your time will be spent back-tracking looking for one single enemy that got stuck on some random object. Even for free I'd probably avoid this game.
