Nightmare Frames is a supernatural thriller where you'll step into the shoes of Alan Goldberg, in the search for the scariest horror film of all time. An enthralling journey through the streets of the Hollywood of the 80s, a small haunted town, and even Hell itself.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played this right after Dark Rites Of Arkham and have to say I see in these two games pretty much the perfected p&c formula, broken down to only what is needed regarding how to interact with the world! I think this way the p&c genre will become timeless, because it is an uncomplicated way to tell and transport a great interactive story without getting people needlesly stuck because you have to guess if you have to push, pull, open or close something! So the gameplay ist streamlined to perfection in my eyes, the story of this particular game is right up my alley, only one little thing bugged me: the beginning is pretty slow and uninteresting. I personally would have put everything up until you meet the old rich lady into a cutscene, but that might be just me. For p&c fans and people who like logic puzzles and good stories: BUY THIS! ...and Dark Rites of Arkham, thats even better imo!
Intriguing story, sensible puzzles, and the gore was too pixelated to be a deal breaker.
One of the most engaging adventure games I've ever played. Starts a bit slow, but drags you in deeper and deeper as you progress. Excellent atmosphere, graphics, music, characters and gameplay. The story is top-notch, reminded me of actual horror movies from the past, not the hack and slash trash these days. Not for kids and the faint of heart, though. Seriously.

It's a good point and click adventure if you like point and click adventures. Give it a chance, because it starts a little slow, but gets better as it goes along. The entire first part in Hollywood is actually kind of frustrating and boring, but it does pick up. The story gets increasingly creepy and nasty as it goes on (after leaving the first area). If you do play through the slow build up, you get to increasingly weird locations and classic horror and it's actually quite a good story. In terms of the puzzles, it was mostly standard stuff, but there were a few occasions where I was stuck due to missing something in a repeatedly vistited area.
Nightmare Frames brings a very packed, very dark atmospheric horror adventure. The plot is about tracking down a rumoured "lost film" the work of a mysterious horror film director who disappeared along with it. The narrative is immersed in the production world of Horror films, and it pays it's tributes well! The story was tense, harsh, unapologetic at times, reminiscent of 80's horror. I was fooled by the cozy pixels and then was genuinely unsettled during some events/scenes. I maybe wish I didn't have to get a full view of that one crime scene next to the river. Overall I thought it built it's atmosphere and tension very well, rich areas, wonderful pixel art, cool soundtrack, memorable npcs and a deeper kind of relationship between all characters. I bought this game as part of a developer's bundle and can't wait to play more :)
