Nigate Tale is a rogue-like dungeon crawler with unique 2D anime art. Fight your way out of a mysterious enchanted castle, searching for materials and loot to buy and craft new equipment, leveling up your character to get new combat skills and befriending cute monster girls capable of boosting you with astonishing magical powers!

In Nigate Tale you play as Roy, a crafty young engineer and adventurer. One day, you were flying in your airplane when a strange cloud sucked you into a strange, unknown world. You crashed in the sewers of a castle, inhabited by strange magical creatures. You have to explore every corner of this ever-changing castle to find all the missing parts… and piece together the secret story of this place, unveiling the thousands-years-old mystery that trapped it out of time and space.

Your mission won’t be easy: you’ll have to fight your way out of the labyrinthic corners of this castle, full of monsters, traps and all kinds of hazards. Every time you die, you will reappear in the same place, as in stuck in a neverending time loop… but the castle will have changed its layout, forcing you to begin your path anew!

Enjoy the thrill of a fast-paced and deep combat system that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Nigate Tale gives you total freedom to choose your own playstyle, with dozens of weapons of all kinds (melee and ranged, slow but strong and weak but fast…), different types of magic, and several skills trees for you to level up, creating in every playthrough a unique character to fight with.

You’ll need to hone your skills and level up to learn new fighting techniques if you are to get out of this castle... But luckily you won’t be alone in this fight: this castle is also inhabited by friendly monster girls, capable of granting you magical powers and even fight by your side… if you manage to befriend them and bring them the right presents!

As you beat enemies in your incursions to the heart of the castle, you will loot gold you can use to buy new gear. But you can also gather materials to craft your own special equipment – and of course, the special items needed to gain the favor of the monster girls!

Если хадес 1 для маленьких девочек, а Хадес 2 для меньшинств, то эта игра для мужчин. По скидке вкуснятина.
Nigate Tale, developed by Hermit Games in collaboration with 2P Games and published by 2P Games, is an ambitious anime-inspired action roguelite that mixes colorful aesthetics with fast-paced combat and a lighthearted fantasy narrative. The game follows Roy, a young engineer who finds himself stranded in a mysterious floating castle after his aircraft crashes in an otherworldly storm. What begins as a simple quest to repair his machine and return home quickly evolves into a series of looping adventures through procedurally generated dungeons filled with monsters, treasure, and powerful allies. The premise feels familiar to anyone who has played roguelite dungeon crawlers, but Nigate Tale sets itself apart through its distinctive art style, its emphasis on befriending magical monster girls, and a structure that blends traditional hack-and-slash action with elements of resource management and character bonding. From the first moments, Nigate Tale impresses with its presentation. The world is richly colored and vibrantly lit, giving the impression of a fantasy storybook come to life. The castle environments are diverse, ranging from mechanical ruins to lush gardens and eerie crypts, all rendered in a clean anime style that makes exploration consistently pleasant. The character designs are another highlight, especially the monster girls who each embody unique elemental or thematic motifs—fire, ice, poison, and more—each accompanied by expressive art and personality. The voice work and light humor in their interactions lend the game a sense of warmth that contrasts with its otherwise grim dungeon settings. Hermit Games clearly aimed to create something visually uplifting rather than dark or brooding, and this direction gives Nigate Tale a strong identity among roguelites that often lean toward gothic or cyberpunk aesthetics. At its core, the game’s loop is built around exploration, combat, and incremental progression. Each run through the castle offers randomly generated rooms filled with enemies, traps, and rewards. Combat feels fluid and kinetic, relying on a mix of melee attacks, ranged weapons, and magic skills that can be chained together to dispatch foes. The player can experiment with different weapon types—light swords, heavy hammers, guns, and spellbooks—each with distinct attack patterns and combo potentials. The ability to customize playstyle is one of the game’s best features, encouraging replayability and experimentation. Throughout the dungeon runs, players collect energy crystals and crafting materials, which can be used to forge new gear, upgrade stats, or unlock passive abilities. Death returns the player to the castle hub, but persistent upgrades and newly unlocked monster girl powers carry over, creating a satisfying sense of long-term growth that balances the roguelite challenge with consistent reward. The relationship system between Roy and the monster girls is another layer that gives Nigate Tale its charm. Each monster girl can grant special powers when befriended, ranging from elemental attacks to defensive shields or healing abilities. These relationships are strengthened by giving them gifts found during dungeon runs, and their growing affection is reflected in both dialogue and gameplay enhancements. It’s a system that merges character-building with mechanical progression, making each encounter feel more personal. However, it can also become repetitive, as gift-giving often turns into a grind, and the individual storylines for the monster girls, while endearing, are relatively shallow compared to the game’s potential. Still, the inclusion of these characters gives the game a light narrative thread that motivates the player beyond the standard cycle of combat and loot. While Nigate Tale offers an appealing mix of mechanics, its execution is sometimes uneven. The combat, while enjoyable, lacks the fine-tuned precision of genre leaders like Hades or Dead Cells. Enemy patterns can feel repetitive, and hit detection occasionally lacks consistency, leading to moments of frustration. Similarly, while the procedural generation ensures variety in layouts, it sometimes results in rooms that feel too similar in design or pacing, reducing the excitement of repeated runs. Some players have also noted that the difficulty curve is erratic—certain runs can feel trivial while others become punishingly unfair due to random modifiers. The balance between luck and skill isn’t always well-calibrated, which can diminish the sense of agency that a strong roguelite depends on. Additionally, localization and dialogue translation can be uneven, sometimes obscuring the charm of the writing behind awkward phrasing. Despite these flaws, Nigate Tale’s underlying concept remains compelling. It captures the addictive “one more run” mentality that defines the genre, while wrapping it in a visually pleasing and upbeat package. The monster girl mechanic, even if mechanically simple, adds personality and variety to what might otherwise be a routine dungeon crawler. The crafting and upgrade systems provide meaningful progression, ensuring that even failed runs contribute to the player’s overall advancement. Its mix of lighthearted anime presentation and accessible gameplay makes it approachable for players who may find other roguelites too punishing or dark. The game’s moderate pace and emphasis on exploration over twitch precision make it a good entry point for newcomers to the genre, while still offering enough customization and challenge to engage veterans for a time. Technically, Nigate Tale runs smoothly and benefits from a polished presentation. The animations are crisp, the environments are detailed without clutter, and the performance remains stable even during combat-heavy sequences. The soundtrack complements the action nicely, alternating between energetic battle themes and calm, melodic pieces in the hub area. The overall tone is one of cheerful adventure rather than grim survival, making it an easy game to relax with despite its roguelike structure. The price point also makes it an appealing option for players looking for a modestly sized experience rather than a sprawling, time-consuming epic. In the end, Nigate Tale succeeds more as a stylish and entertaining experiment than as a groundbreaking roguelite. It delivers fun, colorful combat and a satisfying progression system wrapped in an anime aesthetic that sets it apart from its peers. Its flaws—occasional repetition, uneven pacing, and a lack of depth in its narrative systems—keep it from reaching the upper echelon of the genre, but its heart and presentation carry it far. For players who enjoy fast, replayable dungeon crawlers and charming character interactions, Nigate Tale offers plenty of reasons to dive in for a few more runs. It’s not perfect, but it’s confident in its identity—a light, imaginative, and vibrant roguelite that wears its anime inspirations proudly while offering a solid foundation of action and charm. i liek the game but my save disappeared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ twice now i dont wanna play it
This is a fun roguelite with clean visuals, smooth frames and fun gameplay. A surprising amount of unlocks and higher difficulty levels keep it interesting and honestly this game is just fun. Before starting a run you select a mellee, ranged and auxillary weapon and also select 4 monster girls who's perks, if you choose their skills when you win a floor, assist you. Their are a lot of different skills to try. 10 hours in and I have unlocked about 5% of unlockables. An easy recommend if a cute, casual roguelite that looks and plays well sounds appealling to you.
