🎮 Reseña de Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna)

Cute platformer with bonus cultural education
I WAS enjoying the game...that is up until the point where I was trapped in the polar bear's den. For some reason I can't seem to figure out, the game keeps switching from single player mode (the setting I set at the very beginning of the game) to co-op mode. No matter how many times I exit out and switch it back to single, it continually changes to co-op, right in the middle of battling the bear...WHY??? Otherwise, for me the game is over, I can't get by the bear without being able to hit it with my bolo (after the fox distracts it). I would just like to know why the game switches on it's own. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
you are not alone in this game
This game was short, but fun. The game play kind of reminded me of Little Nightmares. If you can catch it on sale, and like a platformer w/ some puzzle solving, give this game a try. Played flawlessly on my Steam Deck.
To begin, I almost rage quitted this game several times. Saying this, I 100% this game. The reason why I almost rage quitted this game was because the controls are TERRIBLE! The way they work is you have to play both characters to complete two parts of the one puzzle. But doing this occasionally is VERY fiddly, frustrating and HIGHLY stressful with time sensitivities. Eg. one of the most hated parts of this game was where you have to beat a blizzard chasing after you but you have to travel on a tree spirit to get across a lake. To make the tree spirit move, you have to change characters, make the spirit move, change back to the first character, climb higher on the tree so you don't drown...argh!!! And there were several of these types of spots. Absolutely horrible! BUT if you can overcome these difficult parts, this is still a solid game. One of the best things about this game is that you can tell that the creators put a lot of love and passion into this game. They have tried to develop a game that both entertains and educates. And for this, I give them praise :) The art style is pretty and easy on the eyes and the cutscenes are engaging. The sound really helps with the environment and even at one point (I think I was fighting the rat or polar bear) the sound actually made me a little on edge ^^; They did well with the sound, too. As much as this game made me rage and feel actual feelings of frustration and anger, I can look past the controls to see how much effort and passion has gone into this game, even with a clear purpose of educating players about their culture. To sum up, as much as this game absolutely frustrated the f*** out of me, I cannot give it a negative rating in good conscience for the reasons above. The controls need some polishing but the game is still playable.
Great concept for the videoproduction, bland and terrible game. Puzzles are frustrating and the controls dont help at all. Encountered way too many bugs. Finished the game just to be able to leave a review, after having this game sitting on my backlog for too many years (stopped playing at the caves). Its short yet frustrates enough to feel you have spent more time than it actually has passed. Anyway, wishing good luck to the devs on the sequel
