NeonHAT is a paid VR game that has you flying with rocket hands. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has a neon-colored synthwave theme. Has 25 steam achievements. CONS: Does not work with Index controllers. Maybe Buy on deep sale, if you like to fly around a track. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. [h2]Multiplayer please![/h2] This would be fun to try in multiplayer, just racing and shooting, with different modes of play. The price seems high to me as a single player game, but it seems like it has lots of content. The first map was way better than the tutorial. So much that I wish it was the tutorial. But after half hour of play the game start to feel kind of lonely and repetitive to me. There are 10 different race tracks, 5 Boss Fights, and 3 different game modes. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game. The main reason is the uninspired gameplay, plus the frustrating controls. While the synthwave aesthetic isn't horrible, it's also rather forgettable. The musical soundtrack was okay. However, the racing tracks themselves were pretty bland. The racing was pretty generic. What really brings it down is the controls though. I often felt I was fighting the controls more than I was racing or fighting a boss fight. You have 3 different turning modes and I had to choose which one was the lesser of 3 evils. The racing consisted mostly of making sure you hit the yellow markers on the track for the speed boost. Nothing else really mattered as much. The races felt like a slog to race. I didn't have fun. The "combat" was just as forgettable. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs. I think my video showscases this game and some might enjoy it more than me. However, there just wasn't enough here for me to recommend or even give a neutral recommendation.
