About

Neon Mind is a turn-based single player puzzle game that will challenge you to think in creative ways about how to get from A to B.
No Hollywood story, no AAA effects, no epic multiplayer showdowns, and certainly no cute animals to pet.
Just you and your brain.
Navigate your meeples across boards and through mazes, each following the same command. Use special fields to push, block, teleport, flip, and accelerate them.
No turn limit, no time pressure, unlimited undos and restarts. All you have to do is think. And then, think again. And then, think harder. And then, succeed.
Can you complete all 80 challenging levels?
In every level, you are presented with a grid containing a few smiley meeples and a few goal fields that they need to reach.
You control the meeples by moving them in one directions. But keep in mind that ALL your meeples will move in that direction.
To change how they are positioned, you can send them over arrow, bouncers, accelerators, and into teleports and pits. And you can make them faster or even invert their movements.
Of course, there are also enemies that try to catch you. But don't mind them, they just want to play.
Are you up to the challenge? Let's see if you have a Neon Mind!

I can't recommend Neon Mind highly enough. The attention to detail and polish really show in the wide variety of thoughtful level designs, and all the little animations and sound effects. I have been giving some thought on how to best describe the feeling I had when playing through Neon Mind for the first time… Remember how Portal introduces new mechanics without any verbal explanation, making you feel really clever in the process of figuring each out? And how the levels were lovingly and meticulously crafted to guide you to this intended experience, without you even realizing it? And then the complexity grows in unique and interesting ways before eventually those mechanics are combined with others to achieve even more creative problem solving? Neon Mind does all of this exceedingly well too. Don't be fooled by the simple interface! (Well, if you're like me you will be fooled constantly, but that's all part of the fun.) There is a lot of puzzle depth here, and a lot to like. Neon Mind is a challenging game at times, but it is the good kind of difficulty that rewards patience and experimentation, and makes success feel even sweeter. If you like a steady stream of “Aha!” moments and dopamine hits, Neon Mind will not disappoint. I received a free copy of Neon Mind during closed beta, so you can imagine my disappointment to learn how ridiculously cheap the full release is. :D Lucky for you though! Do yourself a favor and gift this to someone who likes puzzles. Well, no…do THEM a favor. And then maybe they will pay it forward too. So many favors! Neon Mind is truly an impressive achievement for a solo developer, and an inspiring example of what an indie game can be. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Fantastic puzzle game at a great price! Even though I just started playing it, I can already report that I am very glad I bought it. I'm only about 10 levels in and I have already seen enough variety and production values to know this is going to be a great puzzling experience.
A really clever puzzle game! It's a simple concept that adds new mechanics over time and the game asks you to explore interesting ways to use them. There's a good balance of being interesting but not too hard. Can't go wrong for this price! (full disclosure I was a beta tester)
🔸 Full Review Neon Mind is an indie game that leans heavily into mood, symbolism, and mental states rather than traditional progression or difficulty. It presents a series of abstract environments and puzzles designed to be interpreted as much as solved, creating an experience that feels reflective and slightly disorienting by design. Puzzles are generally straightforward, focusing more on observation and experimentation than complex logic. The challenge comes from understanding visual language and environmental cues rather than mastering mechanics. This keeps the experience accessible while still encouraging engagement and attention. What makes Neon Mind stand out is its presentation. Bright neon visuals, shifting spaces, and surreal imagery create a dreamlike atmosphere that supports the game’s psychological framing. Rather than explaining its themes directly, the game relies on tone and imagery to convey meaning, allowing players to draw their own conclusions. The pacing is calm and deliberate. There’s little pressure to rush, which reinforces the introspective nature of the experience. It’s a game best approached slowly, allowing its atmosphere and ideas to settle rather than pushing for completion. 🧠 Why It Stands Out Neon Mind succeeds through atmosphere-driven design. Abstract Presentation: Visuals and environments communicate mood and theme. Accessible Puzzles: Focused on perception rather than complexity. Introspective Tone: Encourages reflection over challenge. Neon Mind is less about testing skill and more about inhabiting a state of mind. For players who enjoy psychological themes and stylized presentation, it’s a small but memorable indie experience.
Loads of levels, varied mechanics, developers move limit to match or beat per level. Very generous hint system.
A wonderful puzzle game, very reminiscent of early 2000s shareware games with its overall aesthetic. The mechanics are easy to learn and understand, but the game uses them in very creative ways, with each level presenting a fresh, new challenge. Well worth a purchase if you're looking for a unique brain teaser to sink your teeth into.
As Wollo said it: "No Hollywood story, no AAA effects, no epic multiplayer showdowns, and certainly no cute animals to pet. Just you and your brain."
Neon Mind ist ein Spiel. das die höchste Intelligenz und die überragendste Logik erfordert. Ich bin gespannt, wer sich traut.
