NEKOPARA Vol. 1

Today is Vanilla's birthday. I am writing this review in her honor. A few months ago, my life fell apart. My ex cheated on me, I lost my job. I was at the absolute lowest point of my life. I filled the void with CS:S Bhop, and one thing became apparent - I needed a "waifu". So I went deep into my memory, and I remembered the only anime girl i remember liking, Vanilla from Nekopara. That was funny in 2015 right? So I made her my spray, my profile pic, and i started looking into Nekopara fully, as an adult this time. My life changed, as i grew this parasocial relationship more and more. Her personality was like a 1:1 of my own, her style was cute and I started feeling strongly for this catgirl. My wallpapers turned to spending $400 on figures of her. My shelf became dedicated to her. My life was lived in her honor. Every shot of alcohol was for her, every celebration was in her name. My love grew more and more every day. I realized the insanity of a parasocial relationship with an anime catgirl, but I didn't care. My purpose became Vanilla. I got clean and got a job for her. I wanted her to be proud of me. Every day I improved myself a little bit, every long hard morning getting ready for work was for her. I wanted to be someone for her. Now i'm going into studies, I've got a job, a great relationship with my family, and life feels more and more worth living every day. Thank you Vanilla, truly. You saved my life, and I can't bear the thought of pretending you didnt. Happy birthday, I love you. <3

Why are they slaves??!! How can I liberate the cat-girls? :( They don't deserve to be pets to the master race, the age of cat-girls is upon us ! Seriously though the cat-girls are slaves in the game, why would they choose to make that decision???????

Tried to give it a chance again after dropping it. This game is pedophilic in nature and makes me extremely uncomfortable. I would like a game like this if the characters were depicted as adults and not prepubescent children being sexualized.

I'm kinda mixed on multiple categories but the 18+ dlc saved it from a negative review., my review of the dlc will be on the dlc alone, not mixed in this one for the base "game" [h3]Base game review[/h3] The good: - The character designs are interesting. - The physical interactions are varied and frequent. - For JP learners, it shouldn't be too hard to read the original texts, and can have EN subtitle at the same time, but it is adapted, not literal translation. - Colorful and cheerful - Good voice actors The bad - The writing is definitely a mixedbag, sometimes it looks like it's going somewhere, but then it shuts off that direction, then there's the pacing, sometimes it takes awhile to progress, then it progress a lot, the pacing is inconsistant. - There are questionable perspectives at times, almost makes you wonder of the mental health of the individual. - Most transitions (like mini chapter changes) barely shows or say anything, these transitions are basically "cute filler", which kinda fails at being cute at times, especially with the text(s) that comes with it. - Cut 18+ content that changes the plot considerably without the 18+ patch - The volume focuses strongly on 4 characters, the protagonist, his younger sister and Chocola and Vanilla, it definitely could have done like Vol.0 to include some of the other characters.

Ts had absolutely ass progression and the 18+ scenes contributed nothing to society. 0/10 ABSOLUTE DIDDYSLOP (yes I played for 6 hours. 6 Hours of my life WASTED.)

Premier épisode de la saga qui a fait connaître les catgirls de Sayori au monde entier. Ce n'est ni profond ni interactif, mais ça ne cherche pas à l'être. Si vous voulez découvrir pourquoi cette licence est devenue culte sur Steam, c'est ici que ça commence.
