Nature Game System

The game is a math probability challenge with enough variables that I find it enjoyable to play.

As a teacher, I bought the board game to play with my students but at home I'm loving the ease of play on the computer. The game challenges me more than the board game and I can play by myself whenever I get a few spare moments.

The game is overall okay. I've been playing with the base game and the three currently available expansions. Basically, it's the same Evolution game but with tweaked gameplay rules. I felt that some changes were good, some I didn't care for, and some were just okay. I WAS glad to see the ability to play multiple expansions at the same time...something you can't do in the original Evolution. I didn't care so much for the lower amount of skills, much fewer than in the original game. Also, I haven't seen anyone mention this, but for me when I first loaded the game and was greeted with the same exact menu music, it gave me a bad impression right from the start. It may not affect the gameplay itself, but contributes to a kind of copy and paste feel of the game. Too much in this game sounds like or looks like the original. If you've never played Evolution, then this one might be for you, and I would recommend it. Watch gameplay videos of both and decide. Overall though, if you already have Evolution, then I would not recommend it for you. But as above, check out gameplay videos online. They HAVE done the right thing and packaged the current expansion as part of the full game while keeping a fairly reasonable price. For this reason I will give the game thumbs up rating albeit a weak one. Let's hope future DLCs are reasonably priced as well.

Think of Nature as "Evolution 2.0". I think it's a great deal and worth buying. You get 3 free modules with the base game; so that's like $120 of physical value. If I have two gripes, it may be that it's slightly too forgiving and the games are shorter (like 4-5 rounds instead of Evolution's 6-8). You get the modules, you get single player challenges, the card interactions with the different sets are great. Not my favorite board game but strong. Great family game as well (your kids will likely want to play it if they like animals).

Nature is the natural evolution of Evolution...see what I did there :-) Any fan of Evolution will like Nature. Nature is an iterative sequel to Evolution which is a good thing. Gameplay mechanics have been balanced and the game is now modular to allow easy incorporations of expansions. Evolution was a great fun game, Nature is even better

The game is a new version of Evolution. Dynamic but more simple... I love Evolution Climate but this is good for faster games

I'm having issues playing with 3 friends online, we have tried to complete 4 different games and each time someone gets un-synced from everyone else and is unable to start or end their turn causing us to have to quit the game. One of the main issues is the UI and everyone's cards disappear only leaving the background of the game on your screen and the only way to quit the game is to alt+F4 out and restart it. We tried playing with timed turns and also the unlimited turns and neither one let us finish a single game. I hope this issue is solved because my friends and I enjoy the game but refuse to play it if we can't finish a single game.

A great digital implementation of Nature. Single player campaign offers some interesting challenges.

I'm a long-time fan of Evolution (both tabletop and digital) and this is a worthy successor. The gameplay has been updated and streamlined, and the digial user experience remains solid. I wish there were more people in multiplayer, though.
