Myths of the World: The Heart of Desolation Collector's Edition

Enjoyable HOPA game with lots to do and lovely art. Other than the lack of Steam cards/achievements, this one has most of what I look for in one of these games. The story is very basic - save the land from the powerful Dragon King - but the mythology is nice. Pros: - wide variety of puzzles, some challenging - HO scenes that include word lists, outlines, and even riddles - lovely art - beautiful setting - accents in voice acting generally very consistent - extras menu lets you replay scenes and HO puzzles to locate collectables and get missed (in-game) achievements - the right amount of "looking around" (backtracking), supported by a fully interactive map Cons: - linear story (complete tasks as directed to defeat Dragon King) - very 2D protagonist and characters (but the dragons are so well drawn I didn't mind XD Overall: a very nice addition to this series of HOPA games; keeps up the high standards of previous entries; I'd wait for a sale, but if you enjoy the HOPA genre, this one is good

Pros of game: - Stunning art and animation, with lush, soft and vibrant colours and delicate line work. - Gorgeous instrumental and classical Chinese music. - Great sound effects and ambient noise such as ocean waves, armour clanging, bells ringing, footsteps etc. - a hint button and skip button for difficult puzzles, and adjustable level of difficulty for the whole game. - Excellent voice acting, with clearly enunciated words, and expressive emotion. - Subtitles with good grammar, disability friendly font and easy to see. - An action packed, vivid story with likeable, kind and brave characters. I also liked the unexpected plot twists. - Wide variety of hidden object puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and point and click logic problems to solve. - Many beautiful locations to find and explore. - Bonus chapter is engaging and exciting, with many fun puzzles to solve. - Making of video, lovely concept art, beautiful art wall paper, music soundtrack and cut scenes are available after you finish the game. Some of the extra features are available after you finish playing the bonus chapter. You can also replay the mini games and hidden object games after winning the game. Cons: No cons I can think of. Thank you for making this game!!

A fun beautifully detailed game, that is a treat to the eyes, and teases the brain with interesting puzzles that make you think.

Excellent story line and the game is long enough that you can really enjoy it! Would recommend this!

Such a beautiful game! I haven't even finished it yet but oh, what a joy! Colourful, clever and totally absorbing, this is one game I don't want to come to an end! Puzzles aplenty, the HOG scenes are intriguing, and the overall feel of the game is relaxing and entertaining. I am so glad I bought this game!

Excellent game. Addictive story with good actors. Beautiful scenes and music. Each chapter has a varied HOG and frequent puzzles varying from complete in a minute to real brain teasers. I particularly like the fact that if you miss a collectable you can go the extras menu and catch it there. Bonus game equally good. I got 7 hours play from the first game. Recommend
