Ah the nostalgia! And the soundtrack - I actually want the menu theme as a ringtone! Loved playing this when I was little and I still love it now. The graphics might be a bit pixely but the satisfaction of finding all the hidden secrets in all the towers more than makes up for that. Baldrics little animations are fun and the variety of monster actions and sounds is pretty big for a game of its time. If you like your retro PC gaming, definitely give this a go.

Vile old man eats food off the floor then flings his fart clouds at bugs and snakes, truly sickening.
An oldie, but this game is still so much fun almost 25 years after it was released. The graphics are still okay, even enjoyable. The gameplay is simple but satisfying. I played this game back then when I was a kid and I now I've played it again as an adult, and I must say it is a good experience now as it was before.

Mystic Towers - review A blast from the past. Funny game with a decadent main character. This can be played with mouse only but keyboard is heavily recommended. There really are not many games like this, if any. If that appeals to you I would definitely recommend it. You play as a baron Baldric and you are tasked with eliminating all hostile creatures in a tower that has many floors. You must clear all floors and then move on to the next tower and repeat. Among other tasks, you must also satisfy your hunger and thirst. Creatures and Baldric himself are... interesting, to say the least. The game has charm to it that you won't find everywhere these days. It is good retro-fun and I do recommend it, however for many the control scheme can be old.
I love old PC games. I grew up playing games in the era this was released in. But, ehhhhh. This game just feels so boring. After 5 minutes you can already see what the whole rest of the game is going to be and there's no new tricks after that. The way enemies move is just downright obnoxious too. Sorry Mystic Towers but I've got to give this 2 thumbs down.
The game wouldn't even run.
