Gutes Spiel mit vielen Rätsel und auch HO,.Die Rätsel und auch die HO sind teilweise recht kniffelig und auch abwechslungsreich. Es gibt viele Räume zu entdecken und und hat viele Kombinationsmöglichkeiten zu erledigen. Schade, dass die letzen 5 Scherben im Abschluss des Spiels zu finden waren und es keine weiteren Räume dafür gab. Zudem fand am Schluss gar keinen Kampf statt, da die Geister befreit wurden und alles erledigten. Anscheinend hatte der Entwickler keine Lust mehr beides noch gut auszubauen. Schade hätte mehr werden können. 7/10

Clear the ending was rushed +Trophy issues +No achievements / cards Mystery Castle had a little potential with some unique puzzles and interesting way of getting around via paintings. However, all together it falls apart and leaves a lot to be desired. The classic, super thin plot of a daughter taken by an evil entity that you have to rescue is here. This is an EXTREMELY linear game. You can’t go back after you move from one screen to another via the paintings. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that level of linear gameplay before. The HO scenes are decent, with an average difficulty. The puzzles are easy but some are unique and they actually have good instructions which is lacking in some other games. Each room has the same formula. Talk to a ghost, complete their task, get a mirror shard, do another task to clean the painting, move to the next scene. It gets a bit dull after a few screens. Looking at my mirror shard progress I thought I’d at least have a lot of paintings to go through but that’s not true. It’s pretty clear the ending was rushed or they ran out of ideas as you are suddenly thrust into the last boss screen where you pick up a bunch of mirror shards just lying there. There is hardly an ending. You don’t get one single piece of dialog from the villain on the final screen. I had some issues with the trophies (the in-game only achievements). The biggest one was the difficulty trophies don’t stack. There’s one trophy for beating the game on each difficulty. Normally when you choose the hard difficulty it will also unlock the easy and medium trophies as well. Not here. I beat the game in “hardcore” mode and it JUST unlocked the hardcore trophy. It may be a petty complaint but still. I also didn’t get the Castle Master Trophy which is when you defeat the final boss. The morphs are the in-game collectibles and supposedly there are 50 of them. The trophy for this must be bugged as I only got around 30 or so and still got the trophy for getting them all. The morphs themselves are almost impossible to find and I found many just clicking around and STILL not knowing what it was even after the game said I collected one. Fans of the genre can check this out to mark it off their list but otherwise there are much better HOG’s to try out [b]3/10[/b] Poor

Bei dem Spiel habe ich absolut eine gespaltene Meinung. Ich habe bisher noch nie ein Wimmelbildspiel gespielt, dass so aufwändig produziert wurde und gleichermaßen eine so selten dämliche "Story" zu bieten hat. Ich habe es ungefähr bis zur geschätzten Spielmitte durchgehalten und dann abgebrochen, weil es mir zu viel wurde und ich meine Zeit nicht mehr weiter mit diesem Schwachsinn verschwenden wollte. Tut mir wirklich leid um die Künstler, die an dem Spiel mitgewirkt haben, denn grafisch und animationstechnisch macht das Spiel einiges her.
