Mysteries Under Lake Ophelia

Not that bad for it's price but don't expect anything special. Mostly a fishing game with nothing special, except the ending. So what you get is a simple fishing game where almost nothing happens for 2 hours, and then a 30s "horror" ending. The fishing mechanics are okay, but they don't get any more intersting than "you can fish deeper". And there lies the problem: it's always the same thing, nothing new happens for 2 hours, no mysteries, no horror, and to me, it got annoying and boring very fast imo. Finally to be fair i think there's been some work put in the game, you can see it visually and for the first 30min, but i don't think making it 2 hours long was a good idea if no more work was done to make it interesting past the 20-30min mark. Wich is why i cannot recommend it. A bit sad, i was expecting more from it with a title this intersting.

Good chill fishing game

Gotta love a kinda weird, vaguely unsettling fishing game. Can feel a bit tedious when you're waiting a long time for the hook to sink into the deeper parts of the lake, but if you're looking to chill out and relax it's a good time.

An enjoyable and cozy fishing is what you should play this for. There really isn't much to the mystery or horror of this game outside of an ending cutscene. The gameplay loop is pretty enjoyable with upgrades that let you cast further and deeper into the lake to get more fish. I also liked the hidden references to other indie games you can find as a hooks.
