Throwback to my childhood with this game - complete nostalgia! A lot easier now that I'm older but very cosy, easy to do when you need something to take your mind off everything and just enjoy your evening. Would recommend for cosy adults and also your kids.

Great nostalgic game for those who played it on the Wii! Can't recommend where it's at, $40 for the bundle... If you do buy it, get it on sale. And wait til they add achievements. The Xbox version already has them? C'mon brah
This brings back so many nostalgic memories back from when i played these games on the WII
GOSTEI BASTANTE, MAS O POCKET É MELHOR QUE O KINGDOM.
Controls are a bit odd, but I'm not going to judge too harshly considering this game was originally formatted to be played with a silly white laser stick that you'd point and shake at your tv.
A tentative thumbs up. Very much a kids game. Cute graphics, animations that remind me a lot of the earlier Lego games, very very simple gameplay. Kind of like cotton candy -- sweet but not substantial.
MySims™ Kingdom, developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, is a charming, quest-driven spin-off that reimagines The Sims universe through a lighthearted fantasy lens. Rather than simulating daily life minute by minute, it focuses on exploration, creativity, and helping a colorful cast of characters rebuild a struggling kingdom. The Steam release brings this once-console-focused experience to modern platforms, preserving its whimsical identity while making it accessible to a new audience that values relaxed pacing and creative expression. The heart of MySims™ Kingdom lies in its role as a gentle adventure game. Players begin their journey as a newly appointed Wandolier, armed with a magical wand capable of reshaping the world. This tool replaces the traditional grid-based building menus of mainline Sims titles with a more playful, tactile approach. Constructing buildings, placing furniture, and restoring landmarks becomes an act of problem-solving and imagination rather than strict simulation, and each completed task visibly improves the happiness and vitality of the surrounding area. Progression is structured around a network of themed islands, each with its own personality, inhabitants, and environmental quirks. As you help residents by completing quests, gathering materials, and crafting items, islands gradually unlock and expand, giving the game a satisfying sense of forward momentum. The variety of locations—ranging from nature-focused sanctuaries to more eccentric, novelty-driven areas—keeps exploration engaging and encourages players to revisit older islands with new tools and building options. Quests form the backbone of the experience, and while they are generally simple, they serve as effective prompts for creativity. Rather than merely ticking boxes, players are often asked to design spaces that suit a character’s tastes or solve environmental challenges through construction. This emphasis on customization gives each solution a personal touch, even when objectives are straightforward. The game rarely pressures players with strict failure states, allowing experimentation and trial-and-error to feel safe and inviting. Resource gathering plays a supporting role, with activities like mining, fishing, and scavenging feeding into crafting and construction. These systems are intentionally streamlined, avoiding the micromanagement and complexity of traditional life sims. Instead, they function as gentle incentives to explore every corner of the world. Collecting essences and scrolls steadily expands your creative toolkit, reinforcing the sense that curiosity is always rewarded. Visually, MySims™ Kingdom embraces a bright, cartoon-styled aesthetic that emphasizes warmth and personality over realism. Characters are expressive and exaggerated, environments are colorful and readable, and the overall presentation feels timeless rather than dated. On Steam, higher resolutions and modern display support help the game’s visuals feel comfortable on contemporary screens, even if the art direction remains rooted in its original era. The soundtrack complements this tone with upbeat, playful music that reinforces the game’s cozy atmosphere. Accessibility is one of the game’s strongest qualities. Controls are simple, objectives are clearly communicated, and the difficulty curve is forgiving. This makes MySims™ Kingdom approachable for players of all ages and experience levels, including those who may find traditional Sims games overwhelming. The trade-off for this accessibility is depth; systems are intentionally shallow, and players looking for complex simulation or emergent storytelling may find the mechanics repetitive over long sessions. That repetition is the game’s most notable limitation. The loop of collecting materials, completing quests, and decorating spaces remains largely consistent throughout the adventure. While new islands and characters add variety, the underlying structure changes little. For some players, this consistency is comforting and relaxing; for others, it may feel like the experience lacks escalation or surprise. The narrative, while charming, stays light and episodic, offering motivation rather than dramatic stakes. Despite these shortcomings, MySims™ Kingdom succeeds by knowing exactly what it wants to be. It is not a deep life simulator or a complex management game, but a cozy, creative adventure centered on helping others and shaping a cheerful world. The Steam release allows longtime fans to revisit a beloved entry in the MySims line while introducing new players to a softer, more whimsical side of The Sims universe. Ultimately, MySims™ Kingdom is best enjoyed as a slow, comforting experience—one where progress is measured in smiles restored and islands revitalized rather than optimized systems or high scores. For players who value creativity, exploration, and a relaxed pace, it offers a charming escape into a playful kingdom that rewards kindness and imagination above all else. Rating: 8/10
this game is just as fun as it was when I was a kid. All it needs is achievements and then it's a perfect port
