My Little World

very relaxing and cozy game

My Little World is a gem of a puzzle game! The hexagonal tiles make every move count, turning each play session into a satisfying strategic puzzle. Well on its way to being a really nice relaxing tile placement puzzle with shades of Dorfromantik or a solitaire Carcassonne. I've only played an hour or so on the single tile mode game and will come back to it as it develops. Right now it lacks a bit of challenge as I always seem to have way more tiles than I'll need so there doesn't feel like much pressure to seek the best synergies between tiles, but as a casual timesink the style is charming and it's interesting enough. As of the current build it runs fine on the Steam Deck using Proton Experimental.

This game is one of the most relaxing puzzle games I’ve ever played, you place hexagonal tiles strategically to get points and the fun thing about this is it’s very easy to do it and you can have a lot of fun while doing it.

Honestly: I didn't expect much. I saw a Dorfromantik clone at first glance, a bit like Islanders; and I certainly didn't expect to get sucked in this quickly. The mechanics is similar to the well-known strategic tile games, but here you get interesting synergie effects. They may be hard to identify, but luckily you can see the amount of points the card gives you at a given position. The graphic is nothing out of the ordinary (and the font is Arial I think?), but still nice enough to not get bored. And the music... well, I prefer some tones that stay in the background anyway. I love to listen to podcasts on the side. So not much I can tell you about that. Sometimes one simple core mechanic is enough to keep players hooked. And I am hooked! I was surprised. Nice alternative for everyone who feels stuck in Dorfomantik. Only negative aspect: I couldn't figure out how to save a game. Edit (latest 2024-12-03): There is still now saving & loading; the Developer quickly implemented the feature. I am still having problems with loading the game, though. So this is not yet worked out and if this is something you heavily rely on, please keep your distance. I let go relatively quickly and if there are no bigger updates, I probably won't come back.

Its quite an interesting game. even as an early access game it feels quite polished and well made. Has a couple of different modes to play like free building or highescore making with single or multiple tile available at a time, even an online mode. Definitely try this game out if your looking for some casual chill game!

My Little World is indeed quite relaxing as they say. The music is very chill, 'minimalistic'. It's not difficult. As long as you enlarge roads and rivers, you can go a long way. Forests are also nice to get steady points. I could collect all achievements in 5 hours playing, quite relaxed and not even really targeted towards them. There are three modes: a free build mode which I never play in this kind of game, the normal one where you see one tile and a multi-tile one where you can choose from a set of tiles. If you have an ultra wide screen, you'll have to force height and width through the Steam launch options. I don't know if I will be returning to this one, I guess it's more about breaking your high scores. You're out of goals quite fast. But nonetheless, I liked it, so, it's a yes from me.

simple yet addictive. finding just the right spot to place those tiles for atheistic or score is a tough decision. thumbs up for this little indie game.
