Reviews
Bardzo przyjemny explor, fabuła też niczego sobie. Raczej taka luźniejsza produkcja do chilloutu. Nie mniej, polecam :)
Very fun tactical RPG
Wcigajaca lapsza od X-Com .
j'ai bien aimé
Ciekawa i niebanalna.
Disclaimer: I played the Mutant after the second game of The Bearded Ladies studio Miasma Chronicles. In comparison. Better in Mutant: - Character design and overall design of the world. Looks more creative and looks like put more 'human-like' with a soul. Can't explain. - Characters in general. More interesting and fun writing. Except for the buddy-robot in the Miasma all characters are dull and main character just an annoying kid. (Bormin is the best!) Better in Miasma: - The Miasma has better 'graphics' meaning more details in the world, bigger locations, more stuff basically - The overall story has more plot and bigger scale - Combat in Miasma more versatile and there is more space for experiments and different tactics (the biggest advantage as I see it) - More skills and ways to use them - Actually useful stealth. In Mutant it's almost impossible to kill somebody with a rank higher than simplest brute, cause stealth weapons don't have any significant damage till the very late game Extremely annoying: - No SPRINT! Too much exploring and no sprint. It cost you time and patience. All in all I recommend to play both games, cause not so many good tactics on the market that have some descent story and characters! DLC. It's just okay. One new character that is somewhat okay. Story is stupid. If you want a little bit of more tactic battles after finishing the main game, buy it on discount.

Not my style of game
Where is my DLC seed of evil, it's lost after I entered the tunnel at the end of base game?
All-in-all a solid XCOM clone, especially considering it's from a smaller studio. While the game competently implements the XCOM formula it also mixes it up with ideas of its own, like seamless real-time/turn-based switching, stealth take-downs and some light RPG elements. The Mutant universe is a great setting for a game like this. It's fun and rich with lore. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Sweden and Swedish players will notice references to real-world places and brands. The game can be quite challenging, as is tradition with these types of games (or maybe I just suck lol). The play style is a little different from other XCOM clones, so you may need to unlearn some goto tactics. I played on Steam Deck and the game ran fine out-of-the-box, but reducing framerate and some of the graphical settings improves battery life. Annoyingly, the game did crash on me a couple of times throughout my playthrough.
