I like the game. The big disadvantage is that you need to finish the whole crime scene before it is saved. Otherwise you need to start all over again. Not so great of you need to leave to go to a friend or something. Otherwise challeging in linking the evidence and assumptions. En nicely decorated Crime scenes. Too bad you can't process evidence like in the CSI-games. It's more like a ultra-light version of Sherlock Holmes games. But for later in the evening especially I find this easier to play.
The premise of the game sounded like fun, but playing the game, it was just finding evidence, trying to make connections, then talk with your partner, get more dots to connect and continue on. And the story I was a little disappointed at; at the end of every case you have two choices, but the choices never results in consequences. I was disappointed, but I had some fun time going through it so I would give it a C.
I found this game to be a rather boring isometric detective experience where you solve a series of murders. The graphics are cartoony and faded with barely any graphic settings to adjust. There is also no voice acting and you cannot change your character and must therefore play as a black woman. There is also no proper manual save system. So if you have to quit playing during a crime scene, you must start this particular scene all over again when you return playing. I also found these crime scenes to be absurdly ridiculous in the sense that suspects have clearly left evidence lying all around in plain sight for the investigators to find. You will also spend the majority of your time staring at a convoluted deduction board trying to tie together clues. Most of the time, connecting clues seems arbitrary and illogical. You can also only tie together certain clues once you have opened up other clues that you have no idea about. And if you have already tied together a certain number of clues, the hint system becomes worthless in that you can no longer tie together the clues it recommends. Gameplay just gets too tedious and boring after a while in my opinion. I therefore cannot recommend this game.
This game not optimized and achievement bugs reported to the dev not fixed
Cool game. Alltho it is scripted and feels kinda linear, it still gives a very good detectivy experience. However you have to get into the game a little bit and think about the mechanics of the GUI of the mindmap. But after that it's a pretty good detective-puzzle. I think many people quit because they dont understand the mechanics. After initial dialog and evidence-collection it's all about linking items in the mindmap that are either a contradiction, a causation or some other relevant relationship to unlock the conclusion-links (grey dashed). Thus new dialogs and mindmap-items are unloced thereby evolving the story. The red (remaining) substantiating lines are just optional it seems. Finally link the main who',s, what's, how's etc. by dragging the typical icons to the respective buttons. (redrag to unlink, overdrag to relink). Beware to read the main goal of the mindmap because different missions are all pressed into the same format.
It's okay.
