Vários problemas de travamento e crash, o que faz com que perca o progresso. Alguns bugs causam inimigos invisíveis, o que também não é muito divertido.
Fun! Zipping around like Nightcrawler is a power fantasy worth a go. Good design and humor, and it leaves you wanting more.
It is a cool top-down beat 'em up with the usage of the "shift" mechanic. You go through 18 lineer levels to kill the bad guy but the fun doesn't come from the story. It is the fast paced Hotline Miami like gameplay which you keep killing baddies while constantly shifting. You can pretty much shift through everything including walls, barrels, enemies, bullets etc. The game starts very easy but proggresively gets harder until you don't know what's going on in the screen and this is hillariously fun. It took me about 4 hours the finish and I don't think I'll be playing this game again but it was a fun and fast experience to chill out when I came from work. Recommended if you are looking for a fast and a bit difficult way to have fun.
There's a great flow to the combat in Mr. Shifty, which feels bone-crunchingly impactful even when the hero is throwing hands rather than using picked-up melee weapon. His teleport ability has a recharge to it, after a few uses in a row, but refills quickly enough that this does not feel constraining. And there is some fun level design, with light environmental puzzles and hazards that can be turned against the villain's army of henchmen. Add to that the quick pacing, the intuitive controls, and the just-one-more-level gravitational pull it exerts, and we have a winner.
Game crashes right before ending, some stages are extremely boring
A short, but immaculate and self-contained experience of glorious punching and destruction. This game does not take itself seriously even for a second, and I love it for that.
Review from 2018: Almost like Hotline Miami with super powers, the phasing mechanic feels good and really gives you a sense of speed, there were some occasional bugs and crashes but the action in the game was quite good, the story is basically "go kill this bad guy" which is fine as it just moves the speed forward
despite satisfying combat and great visual effects, something about playing mr shifty feels tedious. the music sounds like a home depot ad and the lasers tank performance early on. it seems like it was never playtested for feedback. there is a pacing issue here, because there are cool ideas and fun enemies, they show up like the carrot on a stick every few stages instead of consistently. it would have been better this been a 45 minute game without annoying dialogue and filler levels
The concept and gameplay is great-- when it's not crashing constantly. I probably crashed about 10 times in my 4ish hours playing this, and every time the game crashes it forces you to redo the entire level regardless of any checkpoints you reached. If you're willing to put up with that then it's fine, but I'm not planning on finishing this one because the crashing is just too aggravating (have had to retry the final level 4 times now, giving up)
