Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I feel bad saying this but it feels like a glorified mobile game. The controls are very bare-bones and all in all just lacking in content. While I love cozy games that offer exploration, I expect the exploration part to have something to... you know... explore. The moment I had a chance to avoid running the cafe and simply rely on events, I did. Because the cafe minigames are really annoyingly simple. The puzzles also keep disappointing and I really have no drive to play this game any further. This is the first time I have written a negative rewiev and I wish I had a "kinda meh" button. The game feels targeted at children primarily and I think a child might enjoy this a lot, allthough it feels steep at the price. I got it reduced for 4,99 instead of 19,99 and I think the 5 Euros is a fairer price. I would maybe understand 10 to 15 euros, as I didn't play far into the game, but I can already tell that the things most people find exciting in a cosy game aren't here or are just not fleshed out enough. Also the Cafe space feels limited, I don't feel like I can actually decorate the way I wanted, the critter designs are, while being cute, rather uninspired some of the time, which is sad to see. I feel like there is a good idea here and a lot of passion of someone who cares about the genre, but the game misses what this genre needs to thrive. I will be keeping an eye on the game and hope to see some changes made in the future, but I understand that this might be the vision intended for this game and simply isn't for me.

I really liked the concept, idea, and cute art style of this game, but unfortunately, it feels very lacking in depth and variety, which makes the gameplay repetitive 💔 Still, it’s pretty fun if you enjoy decorating and unlocking items to create your own café.
Motion Blur and Bloom that you cannot turn off will make you sick. The camera also lags behind a little bit when you run which can make some people nauseous. Avoid like the plague because it may very well cause you headaches.
I really wanted to like this game. I played it for 13 hours and got 79% of the achievements. I am probably another few hours away from finishing it, but I don't really feel motivated to fire this back up for the ribbon. I hope that absence will make the heart grow fonder and a future Me will be willing to get it to the finish line, but I doubt what I say here will make her want to install critter cafe again. What worked: + Some complete ideas: the cafe is a place with decorations and recipes, customers, and mini games, the outside maps are little places and towns, the portals open, you do the little challenge maps, find the critter, ta-da, simple + cute aesthetic, options: different skins for creatures and decorations + bingeable (to a point, in my case) Improvements: - For a game that wants you to perform timing and jumping challenges it is remarkably poor at keeping track of your location. - The simplicity becomes repetition becomes tedium - Timing and jumping became a huge part of the puzzles by the end (23 critters caught) and I found them frustrating. Why is this cozy cafe game about these puzzle maps anyhow? - Running the cafe is not fun. I mostly put on parties. - There is no story here, like, why is this cafe owner getting magical hammers in the mail then taking them through portals to an unknown realm to complete strange puzzles using the items she gets in the mail....? - BIG GRIND- same actions taken over and over to move the bars ever onward. actions: rescue a critter from a demonic hellscape (?), fulfill cafe orders for a really dissatisfying experience, or put on a critter party. - Critter parties can bite me~! what is with the color requests and the colors available not being clear, like, this is a brown chair with a green cushion, but it is not appropriate for a brown or green request?! Like, exsqueaze me??? The rest of the quest is really braindead, because it is like, cards night and you click the cards unless you're some kind of rebel without a cause. And I didn't always have a non-fainted critter to put into the party that fit the request, and I still got XP, albeit less. So the options for the party aren't super important. None of it feels super important. - Can't rename critters - lowkey feels like you're playing a tablet game
So I did see someone say this was a glorified mobile game, and in some extent I do agree. The small mini-games and barely any exploration. For a game that is quite cheap you can't expect much, but I really enjoyed playing this. I have not currently completed the game but I feel like after a while it does feel very repetitive. This games strong point is it's cute creature designs and it's character customisation. I do like the little puzzles you have to do when you find a new creature, they are short and fun and I wish there was more of them. This game has an amazing base idea, but I think it needs expanding on to become perfect. For example, the map in game needs to be more clear to show where the player is better and it would be handy to have an on screen map instead of keep pressing tab to make sure you're going the right way. The game feels very polished in terms of graphics and I really like how the creature's all have individual unique designs. I think this game is heavily targeted towards children which is probably why it's so easy to play but I think that's nice because it is heavily child friendly and would be perfect to play with you and your kids. Now in terms of me being a grown adult, however... Yeah I still find this really fun. I think with this game it all depends on the person and the amount of effort you are willing to put into the game. It is a very low effort, low energy game, which is good for people if they're exhausted after work and want to just play something simple. Overall I would give this game a sturdy 7.5/10, would recommend!
This game is in my top 5 of all time. Very cute and it made me happy to play, I hope there will be DLC for more to play later. ♥ I would play all day every day.
Critter Café is a whimsical and extremely cozy sim game with a surprising amount of content for its simplicity. I like that there are no repercussions to failing or taking more time to do something; it's the epitome of cute and casual gameplay. The creatures are cute, and the puzzles to collect them are well made and engaging. I think there is a slight grind for the creatures, solely because there are so many, but the puzzles make it worthwhile. The achievements were fun to pursue and I think that the style, music, and art of this game set the tone well. I was surprised at how optimized and polished this is for a smaller game. If you are looking for a challenge, I would recommend searching elsewhere, but if you enjoy casual puzzles and cute café games, this game could certainly be worth it for you. Full price is a bit steep, with a gameplay of ~7h, but if you can pick it up on sale, it's worth it. So cute!
like genuinely ass, I had to force myself to play just 5 hours of this repetitive slop. Don't recommend unless you want to spend like 30 minutes just to get the gist of how the of the game will go
Great game for chilling, collecting creatures, and building a virtual life. Good family-friendly game.
Create your dream cafe... rescue animals and do puzzles!!! Super cute story is engaging a lot of customazations for the cafe My only problem I have is the camera control and sometimes your controller input is laggy... other than that I am pretty much thrilled to play this game and thrive off the adorableness it offers!!!
