1) The game needs more optimalizations, and more settings to lower or turn off features in favor of performance. 2) Horse combat is incredibly awkward. Compared to Warband - a previous Mount and Blade game, its outright annoying how the swings just refuse to hit the foot-combatant enemies, even when the hit was clearly visivble. Its incredibly frustrating how you run past the same enemy 6 times, and you still failed to strike them properly. Warband made horse combat a lot more manageable, and fighting on a horseback was an actual advantage. In Bannerlord, I came to the conclusion that beng on a horse is just stupid. Having a shield and engaging in foot combat along with your heavy infantry in a shield wall, will get you a lot more kills, gives you better odds at staying alive, and keeps you protected against missiles. After Warband, cavalry and horse combat just feels so weak, and a burden in general. Bigger hit ranges needed, and better animations, since not only the range is problematic, but the animation too. 3) Bugs. The character gets folded in half in customization menu, the character creation menu, the saved games menu, and the inventory menu. Basically everywhere, where the character is visible. This isn't even rare, tons of people complain about this bug, Fix your game please. 4) The skilltree is plainly unacceptable. Giving the player two things to choose one from, is the stupidest skilltree concept in gaming history. Drakensang Online did the same thing for example. People don't want to choose between two skills, we want both. And there are cases where we don't want either, but are forced to pick one. Open skilltrees are way better. Its a lot more optimal and comfortable if players can pick whatever skills they want, and not pick skills they consider a burden or unnecessary, whenever they wish. The last part is very imortant, since there are skill at the end or in the middle of the skilltree, that player whould need immediately in early game. (Mobility for example) Skills that are earlygame necessities, should not be in the end or in the middle of the skilltree. + Skills barely matter anyway. There are useful ones, but most skills barely make a difference compared to how much grinding they take. We get miniscule percentages for stats that are small to begin with, so the buff barely makes it any better. Once again, Warband's skilltree was a lot better, a lot more customizeable, and functional. It encouraged creativity, and intelligent spending of perks, while the Bannerlord's skilltree just limits you, and gatekeeps the good skills to lategame. 5) Mobility feels like the final boss. Army is so incredibly slow... Even if you micro manage every possible factor that buffs army speed, its still too slow. Not slow in terms of traveling distances, but in terms of how awkward it is to chase down other armies. Everyone is faster than you, or just as fast, and you end up chasing them for an entire ingame day. And the skilltree barely serves mobility. In Warband, we had a simple and reliable stat for general speed of the army, an we could spend points on it. In Bannerlord, we have a very limited number of skills, that barely make a difference, and they don't even buff your general speed, all the perks buff the speed in specific situations. (At night, in desert, in forest, ect.) Its a lot simpler, better, and more useful if we have one upgradeable stat for general speed. 6) Trading is a pain in the arse. Prices only get lower and lower. One time, I was able to make hundreds of coin profit with silk, jewelry, and ect. Intrestingly, my trading skills were lower. As the game progresses, and my trading skills grow, prices just get lower. You buy stock when the price is low, and wait for it to grow.. But it just never does. I've been holding onto silk for 100 days, and still no acceptable profit. If you engage in long-distance trade, and bring goods to a country that doesen't produce it, the profit still doesen't cover the daily expenses of traveling, and each stock sold reduces the price. It just doesen't make any sense to trade freely, if someone wishes to avoid the caravan mechanic. Btw operating a caravan doesen't make it significantly better either.
