About
In a world where all of humanity is trapped inside a single massive vault, fight to discover a cure for the sickness that plagues them by descending into the abandoned lower levels. Only you can survive the horrors that await within the depths of the Mother Hub.
Terrifying creatures have both evolved, and mutated here. They lurk in the dark corners waiting to feast on your flesh. Either become soaked in their blood, or your own.
It has been over centuries since the golden age of the Hub, during that time there were endless advancements in technology. Now that's all been lost, it's up to you to rediscover it.
The once pristine walls of the Mother Hub have decayed, a new world has surfaced within its midst, one where nature has taken hold, and evolved on its own. Unknown species of plants, animals, and something terrible thrive as you descend deeper into the past.
The farther you go, the more you'll learn about what went wrong here. You'll see how your character Thea plays a pivotal role not only in saving humanity, but how she is herself is intertwined within these walls. Listen to audio logs, read emails, find ancient writings, and documents as well as experience strange flash backs all giving you clues to the truth of your situation.
No. I tried really hard for this guys but the system is really old I built Mother Hub on.

Right. So i saw developer talking about this game on reddit. And i like this style so i've put it on wishlist. 2,5 eur? Eh, not too much to ask for. But even at the price the game is disappointing. Visuals - fine. Old school, store assets, janky textures. Sound - pretty good. Music and soudn effects do create good suspence. Enemies - "moster of the level" design. Smth gets introduced almost every level, early monsters had logs or unique tricks, but after 1/3 of game it's just a body to shoot at. Bad animation, no audio/visual feedback whether you are hurting the moster or not. Random stupid store asset bosses are the worst offenders, esp the last one. You'd expect to kite, use terrain to dodge, outrun and shoot it or it instakills you, right? Nah, it's always on your ass, it ignores terrain and it's atatck animations hit somewhere 2m above you. Sticking to 3-4 first monsters would have been better. Difficulty - 0. You swim in ammo (the hint between levels is a joke), monsters can barely hurt you. Healthpacks every 5m. Scariness - suspence IS good. But monsters become more and more janky and rely too much on jumpscares. Some in last 1/3 of the game use models that are so... different from starting design, i was laughing. Story - Oh boy. There are notes of good ideas. Would have been a good game if any of them was picked as main idea, developed (preferably over 5-8hr) and used more "show don't tell" principle. Instead you get text logs added every 10 steps and the story goes (SPOLIERS AHEAD, KINDA) from - oh, hostile abandoned tunnels full of zombies/mutants cause by a sickness to - oh, the mutants are people and teh sickness is not a virus but a parasite + attempt to cure it (i liked this one) to - oh no, we're calling it a virus again and there is alien machine... creating this virus to... do smth? to - oh, i dunno, were the past 2 hours VR because suddenly we are in space on a generational ship and... how the heck did that ship have such sprawling levels and elevators and... lava filled thermal geoplant and a giant cavern full of alien tech? -Oh and also the MC is a thousand year old and is an alien construct? And her mom knew about it but the game never gives resolution... I wanted to believe the Dev is cooking. 10 years in making? But seeing the rate and jank of the 2 more games he released within a year of MH... Nah, it's undercooked.
A lot of people compare this game to Doom 3, but it reminds me more of Alpha Prime from 2007, an early Doom 3 clone with a big amount of jank. And jank really is the key word here, most aspects of the game have at least some degree of jank and some have quite a lot. But let's list some good things too: The writing is pretty good for all but one character (the first one you hear in the game, he's terribly written for some reason,) and the voice acting is overall quite good as well. Good thing too since you'll pick up audio logs so frequently you'll be listening to them more than half your playtime if you so wish. You'll be walking through a room and pick up three or so audio logs... every, single, room! Touch a corpse, get an audio log, touch a desk, get an audiolog, kill an enemy, get an audio log. Visually the game is fairly nice too and here I can definitely see the Doom 3 comparisons with its angular sci-fi aesthetic covered in pitch black shadows. Difficulty? There is none. I never died, all but one boss monster never even managed to land a single hit on me and by the end of the game I was swimming in ammo. The few times I lost more than half my health it was just from enemy jumpscares where I couldn't react fast enough to kill stuff in time.
Game is interesting but the gameplay is atrocious. Would be better as a short film or something. Enemies just sort of pop in, has mediocre jump scares, sometimes you don't know if a thing has died or not, find the keycard to progress but it's hidden behind a destructible wall you might not notice, weird SFX blasting over dialogue... I won't be finishing this.
Decent indie-horror shooter. It's worth a couple dollars on sale for the 2 hours it will take you to complete
Oh boy is this a mess. This game has some neat ideas, but ultimately it is failing to deliver basic gameplay without giving way too many issues. Controls are wonky at best. Audio is all over the place. The story is a neat attempt. Atmosphere sadly fails to build up due to bugs, glitches and a general lack of quality for a 2025 game. Can sadly not recommend.
Interesting story, eye catching environments, thick horror atmosphere, reminds me of doom 3. I recommend
A time capsule from the 2000s in the worst way. Loading screens on EVERY level transition; the developer never moves to preload anything and so you better hope that you have something interesting on your social media feed because this game about horror and suspense will put you in the penalty box just for progressing. Oh- and the dialogue boxes? This is the kind of game that handles everything through dialogue boxes. Walk into a room- see a dead body? That dead body has 6 lines of dialogue and all of them are fluff- and the fluff is not even written well. I went into the first real room thinking the AI was broken as I sat there interacting with all of the soda machines and other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥- and the second I walk towards them they scurry away and a distortion glitch appears. That was supposed to be a jumpscare. "That was supposed to be a jumpscare?" is going to be a constant refrain. I laughed at most of them, honestly. I picked up an ammo box and the glitch effect warned me that something was happening- so I already was ready to react to the zombie turning the corner. That was when I had lost every bit of faith in this video game's ability to generate any suspense whatsoever. Hey game developer we know how event triggers work- imagine if someone just had text appear on the bottom of the screen that said "Jumpscare happening now"- that is how tacky this glitch distortion is. In fact it's even more tacky because if you had a Jumpscare warning text that would be hilarious and at least one kind of novel. Oh and the AUDIO LOGS. OH MY GOD. I have never seen a feature so obviously hamfisted into a video game. I swear to god half of them are obviously added late to pad out the game and act as a cluttered journal to tell you which identical prefab room to go through. You will literally get a log from walking into a room; from seeing the monster in the room, another from killing the monster, and then another from leaving the room. You did 5 minutes of gameplay and 5 minutes of listening to fiver VAs. It's actually maddening. The dev seemed to have a vision that was something like DOOM meets Dead Space but oh my god your game has to be fun to play BEFORE you start adding all of the store assets in. Which I didn't really want to mention but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bud- it's why your game takes a century to load! You are kitbashing with assets that are so poorly optimized for how you are using them. This art style is supposed to run lean and efficient and I genuinely thought the first loading screen was a crash because three rooms apparently take 8 minutes to load in 2026. Just an entirely inexplicable experience devoid of any meaningful tone or artistic direction- a styrofoam packing peanut in the shape of The Marker from Dead space. Someone who said "Well if I don't need to make the art then that means the game is already half finished" and then ended up with something quarter-finished (at best).
A good game, has a story, and very "resident evil"-like, it's short so don't have high hopes it's about 2 hours, but I didn't read all the logs (which are voiced) and there's multiple endings, I got ending 4 Plenty of versatile enemies though their combat mechanics aren't too crazy and there's a lot of ammo and healing so you won't have any worries running out to be honest, but great graphic effects and mapwork ^^ much above expectations for a smaller game
Finished the game in 3 hours, and am wondering, why I did it in the first place. I do not understand how this game got very positive reviews. The only good thing is the voice acting. The rest is way below average. Spare your time.
