Unbalanced and unfun slop. Worst enemy spawns I have ever seen in a game. Just uninstalled after having two guys set outside a building, one guarding each entrance, after having searched the house. Only for two enemies to spawn within the house and gank my guys. Had a different time where on the second campaign mission, after having all vials filled and the cart in site of my weakened team, four enemies spawned right on my cart, killed a guy, routed my team, and made and hour and a half of gameplay worthless due to shat spawns.
Come on, we need a new game like this
Given that this regularely goes for 90% discount, it's a blast despite the clunk. Worth noting that its not quite like the board game, and is very much an adaptation, with a big notable being that warband sizes are the same, regardless of whether you're undead, skaven, or witch hunters etc. For me though, the fiddleness of the movement and the situations it can get you stuck in at times is what really annoys me. Even with that in mind however, its addictive fun running a warband and the AI is semi competent, enough so that it's fun. The game even sports some small narrative campaigns for each warband to complete as you try and survive day by day. So far, I like em a lot. Overall, a good game that becomes exceptional when you buy it on sale. Just be prepared for some bugs that may make you wanna throw your warband in the gutter. Namely cranes.. be careful with cranes. Whenever you can, achieve crane objectives ASAP lest they bug and softlock your whole mission.
Are you ready to lead malnourished, psychopathic mercenaries wearing floppy hats and puffy, brightly colored clothes into Fantasy Chernobyl to wage white-knuckled WAR against the forces of darkness for the ultimate prize: glowing alchemical stones that give your guys cancer the moment they pick them up? (They have to pick them up.) Are you ready to go head into head against either your friends or a mildly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI that punishes the slightest misstep? Are you a fan of the Thirty Years War and the Strugatsky Brothers? Do you want a setting that combines the whimsy of Pee Wee's Playhouse with the misery of Come And See? NO?! Well you do now! Play Mordheim: City of the Damned. The fantastic videogame adaptation of the legendary tabletop game.
Fun game. I previously played it on another platform as well. Kind of like Xcom but in the Warhammer setting. Hardcore. Good depth and progression systems. Not sure why people complain about the RNG, that's how percentages work. Definitely a great game to grab if you see it on sale and like the genre and/or the Warhammer setting.
1 Mission a day wtf
OBJECTIVE UPDATED
its ggooooood
The RNG is fair, the game just explains it poorly. 70% hit chance does not mean 70% chance to deal damage. Once you've hit, if they were in Dodge or Parry stance then they have that much chance to negate damage. 40% chance to dodge is before modifiers, if they hit you with an attack that bypasses 10% dodge, dodge chance is now 30%. Read the logs to understand the target numbers. Learning curve is steep, game is hard and unforgiving. Onboarding isn't great. But it's very fun.
