Reviews
I'm holding out for it to get a bit better, but after about 5 hours this feels like more of a side grade at times, a downgrade others. Overall, Moonlighter 1 feels more fun. Instead of randomly generated dungeons, you travel through randomly generated zones by choosing a destination on a map. This works, but the dungeons in the first were much more thematically interesting. The routes on the map make the game feel very repetitive, very quickly. I don't love the new isometric perspective either. I find it really easy to fall off of cliffs or get hit by an enemy I didn't even know was winding up. The worst offenders are the bugs in the first zone, particularly the shotgun wave ones. This could just be a skill issue, but I never had that issue in the first and it leads to a lot of frustrating moments in runs. Mini bosses are also a miss - they're just normal enemies with bigger health bars. It also feels like Will is a lot slower than the first game so you run through empty rooms a lot to progress. That's especially painful when you deal with teleporting enemies that give no indication where they went. Ugh. The relic system feels pretty toned down too, but that might just be my memory. Each zone has a unique gimmick (burning, shocking, or petrifying relics). You'll never see a shock relic in the first zone; that's only for the second. This makes the runs feel very repetitive. In general, relics in later zones are worth more which makes returning to the first one (with it's annoying enemies, pits you'll fall into due to the weird perspective, and low ROI) feel more like a punishment than a choice. The shop feels fine overall but starts off very slow. I often feel like I'm just trying to sell junk relics for cheap to rack up my perk levels, get a good perk, then sell the good stuff. It's fine, but not terribly exciting. With some shop upgrades being so overturned (one you get early for dirt cheap raises the sell price every relic except common ones by 40% - absolutely massive) I feel like I'm funneled into a specific playstyle every shop sequence. Overall the game feels really disappointing, like it was made by a team that played the first but didn't really understand why it was so novel. Almost every system in this game feels like a slog (with the combat half of the game being especially repetitive), so it never reaches the highs of the first but reaches lower lows than it ever did. I had hoped the 1.0 release would polish a lot of things up but it felt more like they just shoved what they had out the door.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

muito bom
Уныло и лагает, разочарование.
Addicted 100%, just like the first one. The first game took Zelda and brought into the modern era. This game does that for Ocarina, but also for things like Kingdom Hearts. Unlike those games, it has an effective skill tree. It may seem like a grind at first, but if you invest correctly and understand objectives, it won't tak long to become a killing machine - very satisfying
재미는 있는데 이상한 버그 같은게 자꾸 생겨서 짜증이 납니다.
Only bad thing I can think about is critical, the item collection, should have been from mobs like the first one, now we are just speedrunning getting chests it removes the expectation that X mob will give Y item, made the game worse in my opinion
Moonlighter 2 is a great follow up to the original game, even though I have some considerations: - for unknown reasons, the game keeps "stuttering" in between levels and even during combat. That happens on both my PC and Steam Deck - loading times while entering/leaving the shop are weirdly long - I play with a gamepad and I can feel lag during intense combats I love the IP, love the soundtrack, it's charming, and I can tell there's a lot of love from the team. I wish they had more time to cook this game 'cause I believe it deserves a place amongst the great roguelites/roguelikes or whatever-rogue you want to name it. The mix of combat and shopping is amazing, the game is gorgeous, combat (when it works) it's fair and fun, with a great variety of weapons and perks, sweet NPCs and a world that after 26hrs, even if not perfect, keeps calling me back for more.
Took me a second to understand why this had lower reviews. If you played the first Moonlighter, then I understand. It’s hard to beat that first-time experience. That said, if this is your first time playing in this world, I think you’ll have a good time. It’s super chill at times, then gets you going at others. They made a lot of changes from the first one, and honestly, I think they’re for the better. I didn’t really enjoy the first one that much, so I appreciate that they took some risks instead of just playing it safe. I’d rather have a developer take risks and try something new than become another COD that spits out the same trash over and over just because it worked once. 🥹
Huh.... Thiss is rough... I loved the first game and in all honesty it was done just better than this one. Even with that being said I love this game but in the current state I really can't recommend it. For something that is considered as a 1.0 there are so many problems with it that i just can't give it a good review. Graphical glitches, visual bugs, quest bugs ruins the overall experience. Don't get me wrong it's nothing game breaking but it just feels unpolished enough for the game not to feel like a 1.0 Gameplay wise it's fun but some of the mechanics just don't make sense and are there but also very pointless as well . Sparks: As great as the feeling is to make milions and milions off of one run, they break the end game economy completely. In the very beginning you are happy if a relic reaches 100 and I would expect that through upgrades and natural progression that raises, but with sparks that just goes to bizzare levels which then make other systems completely obsolete. You will be making so much money that the perfumes, special customers, different podiums and making a strategy of where to place your relics and everything else will be pointless. Perfumes: Very confusing mechanic and very pointless. Focusing on ti is just not worth it. Special customers: Some are fine, others completely pointless. No strategy that you apply makes any point because just running a perfect price will bank you more than any strategy you apply. Underselling a relic to get 200 tip, when i can sell the relic for 10x more than that.... just doesn't make sense. Last I would like to mention would be as always , just lack of content. Reaching Golden vault 9 and then not really having anything after it , i would assume is preparation for future content updates but at the same time i just wish that content was here on 1.0 The reality is that I will soon 100% the game and probably not touch it again, so when the new content does come out, I just won't experience it, which is honestly a pitfal many games these days fall in. I would like to end it on a good note though. The game takes roughly 60 hours to 100% so for the price point that it is on, I would say its well worth it, I just wish it was more polished that it was when it hit "1.0"
Bitte Fixen!
