Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Sep 13 → 1.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Peak, 10/10. The game knows what it wants to be and nails it in every way.
I've played a couple of card games but this game so far felt the most arousing, I love breaking the game with big numbers and absurd synergies, it was so easy to catch onto and I built crazy builds so fast, this is the most stimulating card game I've ever had and I love it

Very nice deckbuilder, many ways to create broken runs :)
Really well designed Slay The Spire-like. Good and unique mechanics, depth, graphics, music (seriously, very good music), etc... There are definitely better builds for each class/character and easily abusable cards, but some of that is just part of the genre and fun to figure out. My only real complaint is that it follows the same difficulty style of Slay the Spire with Ascensions/Covenants, meaning you'd have to do 25 runs with only slight increases in difficulty every time to get to the "hardest" difficulty. Personally, I prefer having easier/less time-consuming access to the hardest difficulty
this game's admittedly lackluster title more than makes up for it with its gameplay. hooked me more than Slay the Spire did. the three-tier combat is so juicy, the character designs are so fun, and every run feels so, so good. the only reason i might not call it a must-get if you enjoy StS is because Monster Train 2 exists, and it looks like it improves on MT1, though I can't say for certain as I don't own it.
개인적으로 슬더스보다 이게 더 재밌음 층이 있는 기차에 몹을 배치한다는 점이 독특함
Its like Counter Strike but with cards instead of guns
Wow. I didn't know how badly I needed this game. Just unlocked the third clan on my first successful run and I'm having a blast. Great progression, fantastic gameplay.
挺上头的,不比杀戮尖塔差
First off, lemme address the "if you're not playing Slay the Spire on max Ascension you're a casual" crowd: You're gonna hate this game. Move along. Monster Train is a roguelite deckbuilder, but it's almost more like an engine builder/auto-battler in a card game format. The satisfaction of drafting cards and building a deck mixes with the satisfaction of getting your setup just right. Modifying cards directly is part of gameplay, which helps you feel like you can fight back a bit against the RNG. There are also multiple options to ratchet up the difficulty -- you can choose to increase the overall difficulty at the beginning of a run, and before a fight starts, you can choose to accept a challenge condition in exchange for greater rewards. It's not as deep or complex as some of the luminaries of the genre, but it's also less punishing. It's also quite pretty to look at and has surprisingly good music (when's the last time you thought about a deckbuilding game's music?). Monster Train 2 is a very worthy sequel too. If you're not sure whether you'd like either of them, get MT1, and if you like MT1 you can be confident getting MT2.
