The game is fun overall and feels like an old-school RPG similar to Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. The kicking mechanic is especially great it’s both effective and hilarious when you’re sending enemies flying. That said, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The game would benefit from more frequent autosaves, as I often had to manually save just to avoid losing progress. Some of the smaller enemies also feel a bit too tanky for what they are. I also ran into a frustrating issue where I got stagger locked by a fireball trap and couldn’t escape, which felt unfair. Swimming mechanics could use work as well there were times when my character wouldn’t properly surface. I didn’t experiment much with magic, but the bow feels really good to use. However, it might be a bit overpowered since it doesn’t seem to have a stamina cost, making it easy to spam.

Monomyth feels old school in the best way possible. It's a "first-person dungeon-crawling RPG" and the comparisons to games like Dark Messiah of Might & Magic and others of that era are accurate. It was heavily inspired by them after all. You could probably add immersive sim onto that too. Really does make me feel like I am playing something like Dark Messiah, but it isn't just a copycat, it's a fresh iteration on a familiar friend. Fun combat, rewarding exploration and puzzles, good characters and story, a very well designed map... there's really almost nothing to complain about. Currently my only major complaint is no cloud save. It drives me nuts when games don't include this, and I really hope the developer will add it at some point. The only other complaint isn't anything major, it's just sort of.... odd? There are zero women in the game. Not in the bar, not on the street, not in a house, not at the church, not in a store, not at the barracks.... lots of NPCs, all males. It is not a big deal to me, it's just strange. I didn't think much of it until I got to the city. Supposedly the dev will make a playable female, but no clue about NPCs. [b](EDIT: I have found out he is adding female NPCs as well as a playable female)[/b] An amazing game for a relatively low price. It's a fairly challenging game, you will likely get stuck, but it is so fun and satisfying when you get past those hurdles.

Mash of Elder Scrolls and Ultima: Underground in the good way! At this stage, character customization is already very enjoying with diversity of combat style, stealth, and spells. The world is still rather empty but the potential of a great world building can be felt.

Swietna gra przywodząca na myśl połączenie Dark Messiah, z Thief i Tainted Grail. Mógłbym długo pisać o plusach tej gry więc napiszę o jedynym minusie który zauważam: przeciwnicy się nie respią... Jest to o tyle minus że często zwiedza się te same miejsca, wraca się poszukując czegoś co mogło się przeoczyć. W pewnym momencie jest troszkę za mało akcji po prostu. Nie jest to duży minus bo budowa lokacji i klimat podziemi dla mnie są 10/10 ale jednak jest to ciągle minus

Dungeon crawler immersive sim RPG but with a twist! You can move and fight in realtime. Was really fun and wihtout quest markers you have to follow your journal and explore every place. Figh, sneak, pick locks, stack items to get around.
