for this cheap, you can buy without regrets. and if you dont like this "platform-shooter-button-smashing" game, you can refund. you will not get over 2 hours playtime if you dont like it, trust me
a fun as hell arcadey shootey game with fluid controls and satisfying weapons and upgrades. character and level modifiers make it constantly interesting to replay and the implementation of the leaderboard gives a nice sense of progression, definitely more than worth the money
Ha! This game is neat! I've only played for around an hour and I feel I've got my money's worth. Simple but it calls to me to keep playing. This tells me it has the formula "right". Even at full price if I only got an hour I'd say I got my money worth. I know for sure this game has at least 10 more hours of fun for me, possibly more :)
Really enjoyed this game! Reminded me a lot of Downwell. Very fun and fast. Check out my Indie Impression: https://youtu.be/B5Xuo9Gy4hY
So much fun! I'm not normally into fast-paced shooter games, but its just the right combination of platformer and shooter for me. Reminds me a lot of joust but with more action. The controls work well even on a keyboard, but I definately wanna try it with a controller soon instead. Maybe default the spacebar to jump instead of the up key. One thing to add would be a better bullet counter for limited ammo - it took me a while to figure out that yellow gauge was showing my limit. Something flashier would be better. An "easy mode" with 3 lives would be a bonus too. Absolutely worth picking up!
Cheaper than a cup of bad coffee, and far more enjoyable.
(My review, originally posted on the review site Some Awesome https://www.someawesome.com/game-review/gerardgc/molemen-must-die) "Explosive" action down to the core... of the Earth! Today, I'm here to talk about Molemen Must Die, a wacky and over-the-top game where your mission is to "avenge" the President of the United States in the most absurd way possible. The premise? After the President gets humiliated with a pie to the face by none other than the King of the Mole Men, all hell breaks loose. Instead of brushing it off as a harmless prank, the government declares an all-out war against the mole people, and it's up to you to lead the charge deep underground. Armed with ridiculous weapons and an even more ridiculous sense of justice, you'll blast your way through hordes of mole men in fast-paced, chaotic action. Expect explosive battles, bizarre enemies, and plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor as you descend to the very core... of the Earth! Whether you're here for the challenge or just the sheer absurdity, Molemen Must Die delivers an experience that's as punishing as it is hilarious. VHS effect, explosive action and absurd perks, each run is different and crazy! As you blast your way through the relentless waves of mole men that cross your path, your mission isn’t just to survive—it’s to ensure they don’t get their grubby paws on the bomb. If they manage to snatch it, they'll detonate it long before it reaches its intended target, and that means game over for you. The chaos ramps up as the screen fills with enemies, explosions, and the constant threat of an early detonation. Every time you take down a mole man, they drop XP orbs that you can collect. These aren’t just for show—they’re your ticket to unlocking new, increasingly absurd weapons. But don’t expect to choose your arsenal. Weapons drop randomly from crates that parachute down from above, turning each run into a gamble. One moment you might be wielding a rocket launcher, and the next, you’re stuck with something hilariously impractical, forcing you to adapt on the fly. Then there are the “upgrades.” And I use that term loosely. At the start of each run, you’ll get random power-ups, but not all of them are designed to help. Some might boost your firepower or speed, giving you a fighting chance against the mole horde. Others? Well, they’re completely useless in combat, offering nothing more than goofy visual effects or bizarre alterations to your character’s appearance. It’s ridiculous, frustrating, and somehow makes the game even more addictive. This unpredictable mix of weapons and upgrades is what keeps Molemen Must Die fresh and exciting. No two runs are ever the same. One round, you might breeze through with the perfect combination of firepower and buffs, diving deeper into the hole than ever before. The next, you’re struggling to survive with a useless weapon and a cosmetic upgrade that makes your character glow with a colorful trail that wasted a perk slot. Your success hinges on a blend of skill, quick reflexes, and, most importantly, luck. Will you descend to the deepest layers of the Earth, or will the chaotic randomness of it all send you back to the surface in defeat? There’s only one way to find out. Always check the bomb, or the molemen will rush for the nuclear warhead as if it were a Black Friday deal. You can also use expendable abilities, like clearing the screen with a massive explosion, but you should save these for when you’re truly in a tight spot. These abilities are a game-changer, but once they’re used, they’re gone, so make sure to use them wisely when the mole men are closing in on you from all sides. In the end, I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for insane action, hordes of mole men, absurd humor, and a challenge that depends on both your skill and a little bit of luck. Go ahead, because nothing is as powerful as the courage to face danger! Or a nuclear bomb, in this case. Time to take on the mole men! (Steam Deck perfomance) Well, well, well. Valve's portable console makes this game run as smooth as silk. It’s not a graphically demanding game, but with so much happening at once—gunfire, explosions, and hordes of enemies—the game manages to stay fluid. It’s a fantastic experience, and aside from maybe using some Proton options to enhance compatibility, the controls work flawlessly, and the gameplay is fast-paced and seamless. You’ll be able to take the chaos of the mole men wherever you go. Recommended? Absolutely, if you're into fast-paced action, chaotic gameplay, and an unpredictable challenge. Molemen Must Die delivers non-stop fun with absurd humor and a constant barrage of enemies. If you enjoy games that test both your reflexes and luck, and you’re ready for some ridiculous moments, this one is definitely worth your time. Plus, with smooth performance on Valve's portable console, it's a yes-yes! Pros: -Challenging. -Fun. -Absurd humor. -Molemen hordes. Cons: -Sometimes, the game gets really tough with random "upgrades" that don’t actually help.
Our glorious President has been insulted, and one hot young mess of a woman who doesn't believe in apologies, or forgiveness, or the oppressive shackles of sleeves won't stand for it. It's time to take the fight to the Molemen by delivering the biggest freedom bomb we can fit on an 8K monitor. Molemen Must Die! ain't your daddy's shoot-'em-up power-trip rogue-digger arcade fantasy. This is raw, unfiltered ice cold revenge served straight from the tap, no ice cubes, no orange wedge, no stupid sea salt around the rim. You're gonna let those Molemen have it like a Truck-stop Sheila; hard, nasty, splattered across the pavement in a finish so ugly only Rorschach could appreciate it. There's no stopping every 6 seconds to pick up junky loot or check if your bottle is full of mana, you sissy, just fire all your guns and don't stop shooting until the Molemen are a furry mass of death under your bootheels.
Very nice game
I really enjoy this! It's a bit like Downwell. The goals is to protect a falling bomb/ship from hamster thingies. You get upgrades after you die. Its a rogue-lite? The game is pleasantly forgiving and just challenging enough to be entertaining. It's mainly a battle of not falling past the bottom of the level. Nice retro effects, smooth gameplay. +unlimited framerate. unfortunately no ultrawide support. Works with DS4 really well! Recommended at this price for sure.
