Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/ePJoKEx85OA This is the best Steam VR game released in 2024 that I have played so far. I have no idea why this game currently has zero reviews. It absolutely shouldn't be done dirty like this by the PCVR community. If you love PCVR, then you owe it to yourself to check out this game. While I don't think it's for everyone, if you're looking for a unique & challenging metroidvania built for VR, then this game might get its hook into you like it did in me. First thing you should know is that while this game does have similarities to Moss, it is a completely different game. Moss is great and definitely deserves all the accolades it has gotten. However, this is its own game with a different target audience. This is more of a hardcore challenge. While it's not exactly Dark Souls, it's still more challenging than most VR games. The game has a seemingly simple gameplay loop, but with a lot of hidden depth that make the gameplay challenging & fun. Both the platforming & the combat are excellent and they are used well together to up the difficulty. So there's one button for hack & another button for dash for the Moth Knight Sola (third person). You also control the Alchemist in first person view, where you activate some magical levers, lift Sola, collect resources, & quickly pick which potion to use and throw it at the target (turn off aim assist!). From there the environment offers different platforming challenges, which see Sola jump & glide in the air (via potions and special locations) and quickly dash across platforms. Meanwhile, the differing enemy designs offer a depth of challenge to the seemingly simple two button gameplay. The boss fights in this game are some of the best in VR ever. Each boss fight is different, unique, & memorable offering a ton of challenge. You will probably die often. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting mostly a steady 72 fps (Q3 default). I did experience some bugs, but a simple reload from checkpoint did solve every bug I came across (still frustrating). There are sadly no graphical options in the settings. You do have smooth or snap turning available. You can play comfortably seated. You can choose right or left-handed and there are different difficulty levels available. Overall, I'm kind of sad that I'm going to be the first review for this game. The PCVR community needs to support good VR games brought to PC, even if they are originally Quest ports. This game does have PCVR enhancements, including better graphics, higher resolution, dynamic lighting, etc. Rate 8/10.
If you enjoyed my review, please consider joining my Steam Curator group Oculus Rift Reviews.

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow Third group
and discover more reviews from me.
I just want to say I won a copy of Mixture in a giveaway held by MissChiefVR but this wont affect my opinion on the game at all. Mixture is a bit of a hidden gem among the VR games and Im too baffled how there are so few reviews (I believe Im the 4th) I don't often write reviews but feel that the game could use that little boost. It borrows elements of metroidvania, elements of a hack and slash games with a dollop of Moss It simply one of those games that borrows alot from popular titles to create a solid adventure/platforming game in its own right. The combat is on the right side of challenging but fair and it also contains some memorable boss fights (Id say these are the highlight of a well rounded package)
Works on Reverb G2. Mixture is original, fun and challenging VR 3rd person action/puzzler/platformer, that manages to be nothing like Moss. But it is also noticeably low-budget, unpolished and quite ugly by PC standards. For me, the positives slightly outweigh those negatives. Combat is frantic and much more involved, than in Moss. Mix of 3rd person hack'n'slah and 1st person throwing is engaging and satisfying. At its best you need to constantly switch attack directions and throw various potions, while refilling alchemy resources. Most puzzles also require quick actions: they are focused more on precise execution than planning. Now for the negatives: Mixture looks terrible, especially compared to Moss. Environment and character designs are creative, but everything lacks polygons and good textures. All the dialogue lacks voice-overs, reading non-diegetic text in VR is never enjoyable. There are a lot of minor gameplay bugs and flaws: PoV sometimes switches incorrectly during death, and may only be fixed by leaving to main menu and reloading; gliding may unpredictably end in fall death even very close to the floor; lore dumps can appear in the same place as enemies, making it impossible to fight because reading and attacking uses the same button; enemies do not respawn during Wasp boss fight, making it impossible to regain lost health in this already very frustrating encounter.
In short: Lazy controls, bad gameplay, and no reason for it to be in VR. I legitimately do not get the positive reviews of this game. You sit there controlling the little critter using your thumbstick, you spam attacks, occasionally glide, and throw potions at things (you will need aim assist to hit anything for how bad throwing is implemented). You are stuck in a third-person camera perspective, potions are "gather colored stuff, automatically mix" with no experimentation or creativity to be had, and if you forgot one of the 3 controls I assure you there is no pause menu to be found. Just force quit and start from the main menu again. So if you enjoy spamming the attack button while you sit there tossing potions at mediocre-looking scenes, this is the game for you. If you want a VR game to actually look good or have you doing something, look elsewhere. A parting question for the developer: why is this in VR at all? What, in this gameplay loop you've made, takes any advantage of the unique abilities of a VR system?
Bardzo duży plus Wpadnijcie na konkurs, w którym do wygrania będą kopie gry: https://www.facebook.com/KarmelBrodaty?locale=pl_PL https://www.twitch.tv/karmel_brodaty ENG I am very positively surprised by this game. A combination of a VR game with an arcade game with a bit of puzzles. It's a cool idea to control our little character and be a powerful alchemist at the same time. It sometimes takes a bit of coordination to control Sola with one hand and help her cross by throwing potions with the other hand, but it's great fun. The world created and the history contained in it are also intriguing and engaging to learn about the rest. The graphics fit nicely into the mysterious surroundings, and the models of our little characters look very nice. It would be nice to have more control over the location of our entity, i.e. the alchemist, but I assume that was the idea of the whole game. Overall, I'm having a great time discovering new potions and learning about the history of the world. I'm going to finish the game. A very big plus
It's sad this didn't get more attention, because I think this is a pretty good game. This isn't just a third-person game. It's like Moss where you control the little guy on the ground, but you are also a character in the world as well. This type of game where you are effectively playing two characters like this is really fun and is something that's different from most other VR games. The gameplay is pretty simple. It's mainly just combat with minor puzzles involving the "mixtures" that you throw as your VR character. It's simple, but it works for the game. The game doesn't get too repetitive as you gain new mixtures throughout the game and also can upgrade the little moth guy to change some things up. The mixtures are used outside of battle, but can also be used in battle for different effects. One thing I really like from games like this is that the worlds can feel really large, while not actually being that large because of the scale of your VR character. Because the world is large for the small character, it does still feel large for you. And there are numerous differently designed environments that are fun to explore even if they are linear.
I'm almost an hour in, but I really like it. It plays like Moss but with more of a combat focus and less of the tedious braindead puzzles where you have to move blocks onto switches. You can glide onto platforms. The textures aren't anything to write home about, but it's neat having a character that talks back. Throwing the flasks is a bit annoying since they miss a lot, but the game seems to be balanced around the expectation that you'll miss a lot. It's cool having to multi-task and scrounge for elements for more flasks to throw while also making sure your character dodges the attacks and doesn't die. The combat would be straight-forward and nothing to write about, but having to look away from the fighting on occasion to get raw materials adds the multi-tasking that makes it a little more interesting. Experienced on Quest 3.
One of the better VR gaming experiences that I have played. There are a few collision and camera issues but for the most part it plays well. Like a few reviews have mentioned, it is like Moss but more combat orientated. The hardest part for me was struggling with choosing "mixtures" with the right hand while guiding the moth with the left. It takes quite a bit of hand/hand/eye coordination to get some fights and puzzles done correctly. It took me about 10 hours to finish the game but I didn't get all the collectibles or all the upgrades. The build I had worked for me so I didn't see a reason to farm for more loot. The lore is a bit esoteric but doled out at an okay pace. I didn't quite get the ending but it seems to have setup a sequel. The graphics are done well enough. The music is fairly decent. I'm not one for garbled nonsensical talking but it wasn't overly annoying. Only a little over 8% of the players reached and defeated the final boss. I think this might be due to the difficulty of using control system well. The path forward isn't well defined at points (A few times, I actually watched a walkthrough to see where to go next.) Get it on sale or part of a bundle.
