Fun little game. There were maybe 2 or 3 puzzles towards the middle that felt like the mechanics they used weren't really introduced before being expected to use them, but otherwise it was all pretty intuitive
beat this game in 88 minutes, according to steam playtime. initial impressions were great, although the game started getting monotonous by the 2nd half. the entire thing felt like a mobile game, or at the very least a prototype pumped full of indie game juice. characters were shallow, story was a nothingburger, which isn't always a bad thing but worked against the game imo. the puzzles were sometimes clever, and had me spinning my wheels for a minute, though oftentimes were generally simple and didn't really make me feel anything positive. progression through puzzles felt generally unrewarding and unimpactful. summary: 5/10, would give it to my little cousin to play for 15 minutes.
Liked: - Clean, efficient art - Minimalist story does not get in the way of gameplay - Mechanics grow in complexity without becoming overwhelming - Puzzles are challenging without being too opaque Disliked: - Game felt short, with room left for greater challenges - Wanted more variety in Steam achievements
This is a fun little game for GMTK viewers mainly. It does pretty much what it says without anything standing out too much either way. The story is very shallow, almost expected a twist at the end but it never came. The mechanics are simple and easy to use. Puzzles are intuitive and I didn't get stuck on many of them for long.
Cute art, great music and well designed puzzles.
Cute, fun, and relaxing. Puzzle solutions are not obvious immediately. I quite like the design and the way it teaches mechanics to the player. I believe the target is someone who wants a quick, not too hard puzzle game, or someone that starts their journey in the puzzle genre. It is a bit too short to justify the full price, though. I haven't encountered any bugs or performance issues.
Enjoyed it, pretty easy and basic. About 2-3 hours of gameplay. $10 might be a little steep for what you get, I'd wait for a steam sale. (like I did). I could see if there was a community level maker this game/concept could really take off.
I would like to recommend the game, but I completed the game in under an hour. Some extras are unlocked after completion like level select and a developer commentary, but the game didn't interest me enough to want to replay. Puzzles had some interesting ideas and mechanics, but they were fairly easy to figure out and there wasn't a level that had stumped me for more than a couple minutes. Might be worth picking up on a deep sale.
The cutscenes are far too long, the puzzles are easy and if you make a mistake in the platforming you may have to restart the entire puzzle.
