About
Sketchy's Contract is a co-op sci-fi horror looting game set in a mysterious asteroid belt where you, a traveler, have caught wind of an strange broadcast while in deeps pace that promises a grand adventure with rewards beyond comprehension. Your duties will be simple but fun! Whether alone or with friends, you'll be able to travel to and explore exotic planets, harvest planetary materials, fight alien lifeforms, search for scattered loot, help run a burger shop, play mini games at an arcade and decorate your apartment and ship! The catch? There's no catch at all...
While Sketchy's is NOT a story driven game, there is however, a small optional linear story that players can complete that will explain everything involving Sketchy. Simply follow the Story Quests as they lead you from planet to planet searching for something known as "Memory Fragments". You'll even be rewarded with your very own golden flamingo in-game trophy for completing it.
Progression is incredibly important in Sketchy's. Your going to face some pretty deadly enemies and having enough health and damage to take them on is crucial. The more loot you, the more XP you gain to level up, earning you points to spend at the Suit Modifier to change attributes such as Health, Attack Power, Stamina, and more.
The Night Shift is one of the more unique aspects of Sketchy's. You get to decide whether to stay on the planet and survive the Night Shift or leave and not risking a Team Wipe. Staying overnight means getting access to much more valuable loot but also fighting much more deadly enemies. The choice is always yours.
Loot Sketchy Access Crates - The map is broken up into difficulty-based sections called Security Levels. Finding and opening access crates spread throughout the map can reveal codes that grant access to new security levels containing more valuable loot and higher security access crates..
Loot Gatherables - Gathering is one of the major of ways of getting loot to meet your quota. You'll be able to Dig up hidden treasure, Mine Ore, and Harvest Herbs all with the single click of a button. You will also be able to level up your gathering skills via your suit modifier, allowing you to perform gathering actions much more efficiently.
Loot Corpses of the Creature you Kill - if you're brave enough, you can be the hunter instead of the hunted and kill creatures. Most of them can be picked up while some of them might require a shrink ray to make them light enough to carry.
All loot is important and its even more so when it comes to the Burger Shop. Certain loot can be brought to the inventory room in the Burger Shop and restocked on the Shelves to build progress toward game perks. As you fill the inventory higher and higher, you'll gain access to things like cooking burgers, brewing coffee, and even a Black Market Vendor that spawns randomly on planets each contract with extremely powerful weapons/utilities items.
Cooking Burgers is just one of perks you can unlock. Consuming one of these instantly heals you to full then heal per second over 30 mins afterwards. Additionally all damage is increased by 10% for that duration.
Another perk is 30% discount from the Black Market Vendor who is a special NPC that appears randomly on different planets each contract based on planetary conditions. Everything sold here is pricey but powerful.
Keep in mind though that Aliens will visit the Burger Shop as you play, consuming a small amount of your Shop inventory as they order food. You'll need to work hard for the Burger Shop if you want to keep all those fancy optional Perks. The choice is yours.
As your complete contracts, you'll gain rewards in the form of credits, arcade coins and gotcha coins all which can be used to purchase new player skins, furniture to decorate your apartment and ship, as well as play mini games at the arcade.
Decorate your apartment with 100+ different unlockables and that's not to mention all the corpses you collected as trophies. There's even a loot convertor machine that allows you to convert collected loot into furniture so that you never lose them on a contract wipe.

Dead game - killed by the dev. Prior to even to the 1.0 release3 the dev stated he was washing his hands of the game. There is not enough content for along term enjoyment and there is NO mod support. The levels are not procedural, so they are the same each time and predictable and there's only a hand full of levels, so the gameplay loop gets boring fast unless you're playing with friends. Towards the end of development the dev CLEARLY played too much overcooked and though it would be a good idea to introduce a cooking system that is passed off as optional, but was made into a core mechanic by rescaling the game to punish players for NOT using it.. If the game was made free with paid cosmetics that were optional i'd say the game would be worth it, but unless you have a group of friends you'll likely just play a few hours and get bored of the extremely simple minded gameplay loop/ This is someone from someone who has put almost 240 hours into the game over the span of when it first hit steam until now. This used to be like lethal company, just harder and less forgiving which IS what had it fun. Now it's bloated with major identify issues, combat that scales extremely poorly due to in consistencies and many and I do mean many revisions of a system build on top of each other which causes a MAJOR desync in multiplayer and causes inconsistent scaling due to an "attempt" to lower the entry level difficulty for new players. I frankly can keep going on with all the questionable changes over the years, all of the bugs and broken mechanics that have existed for over a year and still not fixed, and all that but by slapping a 1.0 label on something that is not finished and has no way for the community to expand on it was the worst thing the dev could have done. If you want a few hours of entertainment, wait until it drops down to like $5 or wait for a heavily discounted friend bundle so you have people to play with because even being 10% off at the time of writing, the $8 is still to much imo

Мёртвый плагиат Lethal Company с пугающей оптимизацией, которому 2 года.
♥♥ I came for the game, but the claw machines kidnapped my soul ♥♥ Aside from claw machines being the only reason I exist, Sketchys Contract is an absolutely amazing game crafted with incredible care and creativity. For a solo dev, they've created a game that feels full-featured and goes far beyond what you would think a one-person team would create. Especially when adding in that the dev is incredibly active within the community. He has joined into streams (while not my own, I have seen him pop into others), listens to feedback, and implements changes to make the experience better for everyone. It's not something you see every day where a dev commits to every aspect of the game including the community to this level. I do genuinely believe the game could benefit from better marketing tactics (I say this as someone working in marketing) to reach a wider audience and attract more players or hype. But, it is a game that already delivers amazing entertainment and lets you hear your friend's scream in terror. If you want a game that is fun, creativity, heartwarming and the dev listens to the community, then this is it. I prefer to play this game multiplayer especially with friends as the interactions and screams I hear are top tier. Hearing your friends scream from an Elizabeth while just waddling away like you heard nothing is great.
I hardly ever write reviews, but Sketchy's... Sketchy's derserves one. Out of all the loot'em, scares with friends like Lethal, Repo and the like, this is my all time favorite. Beautifully designed maps? Check. Varienty of enemies (and non enemies) to learn and encounter? Check Weapons to show your superiority until something bigger puts you in your place? Check Exploration? Absolutely. Its not as scary as others, which I appreciate, but focuses on the exploration and looting. And no map feels like a copy of another. All unique, all beautiful, all frustration in their own way. Solo or grouped, you'll have a blast. And for those who want to create their own space? Loot is not just a way to make money ;). Stay Sketchy!
used to love playing this game and it was fun me and my friend was able to go long ways before we failed, the new new 1.0 release is pretty garbage the dev made it way too hard and impossible to enjoy like why does the pew pew react to me picking up stuff when he once didn't give a damn, and the oxygen drains way too fast, to think of it it drains 5x faster then it used to be not allowing me or anyone to even continue to go further in level 2 its so bad its a nearly impossible to complete to the point me and my friend who once praised this game for being good and I mean really good, to now really sh!t, its just way to hard, its a shame this was once good now it breaks my heart to never wanna play this game ever again until changes are made to make it enjoyable and beatable!
Got the game in 2024 played over 10 hours we enjoyed a lot and moved on because of well nothing to grind on it was fun but we felt we play as there is nothing to gain. So after 10 hours we left the game and waited for possible updates which they came! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3722343388 We wanted to play again in 2026 and there was a lot of new enemies, loots, progression system, pets, cool decorations etc etc. Game got depth and new maps & updates runs perfectly ok no FPS issues. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3287086476 I will say it as its current state this game is underrated a lot more of people should discover and play this game, My reason to replay the game is literaly to take revenge against PEW PEW which is a smily robot who rockets your butt when you get close to him destroying it is the reason why i enjoyed it the most! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3722343185 All jokes and details aside this game is ready for more people to play and discover try it out yet, there is almost no player in the game anymore not sure why but it is pretty darn good game in my opinion. I will suggest specialy if you like a co-op game where you spend time with your friends screw around progress unlock cool stuff and have a good time!
My personal favourite Lethal-like game out there. Lots of different loot & treasures to do & collect, regular updates & special events, a responsive dev, lots of different maps & threats to deal with, a fun lobby to wait for your friends in, and lots of cosmetics to unlock & decorate with.
A little more "serious" sometimes than Lethal Company, but so many different things to gather and collect and new suits and different planets! With the right friends, serious comedy is going to ensue.
Probably the most underated game in the genre. This masterpiece was and still is created by a SINGLE DEVELOPER. The game comes with the usual roguelike grind. - You land on a planet and search for loot. You can either stay 3 days and nights on the same planet or return to orbit to go some place new. - Should you stay past midnight prepare for a beating. You can upgrade your suit to increase your stats or focus on a certain playstyle. - The usual perks include health, stamina, damage and carry capacity. - Then there's also perks like swapping your dodge for a shield to become a tank. Compared to many other games in the genre this one has beautiful and very unique planets that feature a bunch of different themes. - You got a breathtaking ocean planet with pirates, treasure diving and giant crabs. - Theres spooky stuff and very spooky stuff. - You have a desert featuring a oasis and an ancient temple with traps. - A vulcanic biome with lots of lava and critters that swim in said lava. - A cozy winter wonderland. - FREAKING DINOSAURS! The game itself is split in 3 different difficulties that come with their own quota requirements, tier exlusive tools and weapons and furniture(theres even a whole apartment for you and your friends to furnish.) - You're basically on the hunt for a keycard to access level 1 to then find the level 2 keycard etc. - Should you aquire the level 3 keycard you're in for some juicy juicy loot and possible a pet. -You get ingame currency for completing contracts to buy skins, plushies, weapon charms or furniture. - Tools and weapons range from basic PEW PEW to even bigger PEW PEW that set you, the enemy and half the map on fire. - You can smack enemies with a flamingo on a stick, a spatula or some cosmic laser sword. - There is also shrink rays, jetpacks and containers that store even the most volatile of items. Once you progess deeper into the game you unlock additíonal mechanics. - You can unlock buff food if you provide the materials to cook them. - You can fill up the main hubs storage to unlock even more passive bonuses like faster respawn time, more cash from contracts, shop discounts and unique perks on certain weapons. For 9$ this is basically a steal. It's rare to find this level of quality by a single developer.
The core flow of the game is the same as lethal company: - Pick a planet, fly down, die a bunch while collecting loot towards a quota, turn to the space station and deliver the loot. Pros for me: - The idea of having to locate and find different security clearances to get you access to higher tier loot. - The loot is sometimes interesting. Having additional effects or chaos aspects that are uh... unexpected 😂 - The quotas seem manageable and it rewards you for exceeding the amount you need. - You also get three full day/night cycles to reach that quote, enabling you to do more of the exploration/puzzles regarding the security clearance. - Lots of fun collectables you unlock after each run, presumably able to get these unlocked more quickly with higher tiered worlds. - The beginner world is a great introduction and very forgiving on the constant stream of death. You wait roughly 30 seconds to "respawn" for free (minus dropping your loot/backpack), and then you're back at it. This is a big improvement over Lethal Company where you stayed dead for a long time, and dying was equally as easy. Cons: - The Maps do appear static layouts, however the loot/enemies/puzzle pieces (like the codes for the security clearances) are entirely random which evens it out. - The initial few runs, you will die a lot because your suit isn't leveled up yet (no xp) and you have no idea what you're doing (no tutorial). You can also only use xp after completing the 3 day cycle and returning to the station. But after about two completed runs, you will die a lot less simply because your weapon does more damage and you are not as low on health. - Theirs only one Tier 1 planet (with three landing spots), and they cap your leveling at 30 in Tier 1. This seemed fine, initially, but tried our first Tier 2 level (dinosaur based Gaia) and could not even leave the landing area without getting one tapped by something. Will try a few other planets to see if the RnG just kinda bit us for enemy spawns 😅
