Decent story, but it does rely pretty heavily on players being interested in the Lord Of The Rings universe and lore. The gameplay is a lot of fun though, the Nemesis System helps keep you on your toes and forces players to not rely on a single strategy for defeating captains as they will often adapt and become immune to fighting styles that are used repeatedly on them. My only real complaint is the frequency of enemy ambushes. Whenever I go to take out one captain, I'm almost guaranteed to be ambushed by at least one other captain, and usually when I'm already fighting a horde of grunts and the first captain. I just did a mission where I was literally ambushed during the ambush that happened during the ambush of my mission, which was also an ambush mission. This is the type of ambush-ception crap that would get Christopher Nolan rock-hard. 5 enemy captains, about 20 grunts, and the only saving grace was that 2 of the captains were also fighting each other as part of the original mission I had started. Keeping my distance from those 2 let them focus on each other while I handled all of the ambushers. Insanely fun gameplay though, and the game as a whole is really polished and continues to run great and look great on modern hardware. Definitely worth the purchase price these days, especially if it's on sale.
Great game I love it so much
