A really fun and dynamic game. The Nemesis system really makes the game very interesting in terms of replayability. At times, I became quite attached to certain characters, while others annoyed me to no end. The story is simple, and for me, the Orks were the biggest highlight! The DLCs are additional story segments that are sometimes connected to the main story but aren’t necessary. I still recommend picking up the game on sale, especially for the DLCs. Most of the achievements can be earned during the main story. The “Ring Trial” and “Wild Trial” challenges, however, can be tricky. On top of that, they’re locked behind DLCs. I recommend this game if you like The Lord of the Rings

8/10 A little janky due to its age, but an excellent game. So fun to run around the Black Gate and explore more of the interior of Mordor in a way you wouldn't really expect. Great story and memorable characters with such fun combat, akin to the Batman Arkham games. Feels like a mix of Assassin's Creed and Arkham in the best way. The Nemesis system is very cool also and not overdone like in the sequel. Biggest gripe was the ending contains a QTE for the final fight... Like... C'mon man. Also Sméagol is there. I guess.

Very enjoyable game, well written protagonist, great voice acting, impactful story which integrates well with established canon. A lot of the game runs off the same systems as the Batman Arkham games, just set in Middle Earth, but I'm absolutely fine with that. The nemesis system is so interesting and fun that I wish it hadn't been copywritten and could be put into other games. Ran flawless on my much older PC, and still runs great on my newer one. I definitely recommend using a gamepad when playing.
