although shadow of war has much more accesibility and you can travel a lot more, mordor will always have a spot in my heart for being the first game I ever played. I would recommend this game to anyone who hasn't played it yet, story is amazing and game play is so fun.
you play as a racist schizophrenic guy
I finished it. It's great but a bit boring... It has nice foundation but you keep doing the same fights. The nemesis system is a novelty which in the end has not contributed much to my experience. I'd say if you want to play one of the two games, play the second one. Don't worry about the story - it's crap and definetly not canon. The biggest issue is the grind. I personally do not have the time for it and I didn't find the game engaging after 6hrs. I had to force myself to finish it.
Игра рассказывает о 80-летнем промежутке между Хоббит и Властелин колец, хорошее введение в лорологию Толкиена и приемлемый геймплей стелсятина-слешер в общем-то говоря
Is there fun to be had in this game? Yes Is it worth the mess of a story, the mess of gameplay that can feel as frustrating as it can rewarding, and the bloated skill tree and inventory? …Debatable The best thing about Shadow of War is that it certainly does the Nemeisis system better than the first game, as it definitely feels more like it’s a part of the game rather than something you can almost completely ignore if you want. Aside from that, while the combat is more varied than the first one, it’s incredibly chaotic yet not in a good way. Moving from enemy to enemy is frustrating as the game constantly locks in the wrong target when going from one enemy to another. It’s much harder to keep a combat flow chain going as there are just too many enemies surrounding you at once most of the time and half of them have shields with an attack you can’t counter. Also, the counter and arrow attack symbols are almost impossible to see with how much is going on on-screen, making orc cheap shots a constant thing. (Side note, the orc alerted symbol when sneaking is also WAY smaller in this game making it almost impossible to see what orc has been alerted to your presence). Combat is as annoying as it can be fun and overall the frustration of it half the time makes the game feel unpolished. There are far more skills to choose from, which make the game feel fresh, but many of them cannot be used at the same time, which towards the endgame makes the game a lot less fun. The feeling of being a badass at the end of the game isn’t in this one as much as the first, imo. Also, whoever decided to take away the ability (or majorly reduce it) for Talion to get his arrows from kills and instead to have to pick them up around the game made it feel like an awful chore most of the time. I could go on and on about how this game can be both fun and annoying, but I don’t want to spoil everything for those who want to give it a go. The game just felt really messy overall and needed way more focus than it had. I mean, they have at least 50 different sets of clothing for Talion but the cutscenes are all pre-rendered and show the outfit and weapons Talion discards within the first 30 minutes of the game. It’s very silly and shows how many cracks this game has. If you’re looking for some mostly mindless fun, then this game might be for you, but if you want a game that feels like the first one with an even better story and combat, I personally think this game is a pass.
очень крутая и динамичная игра. удивляет интеллект орков, когда они убивают тебя, то запоминают и при следующей встрече издеваются и язвят тебе
It's good
The best thing about this game is the gameplay. I played it on Xbox 7 or 8 years ago, and I was wondering if it would still be that good, even in 2026. And the answer is yes. It was enjoyable enough that I decided to go for 100% completion. But sadly, the story is the opposite of the gameplay. Even the bosses don’t have much personality, and they won’t leave a lasting impression on you. I can even say that the whole story feels like a prologue to Shadow of War, which I will definitely play.
