20 years ago, I played the pirated one in my USB. After 20 years, I bought METAL SLUG on Steam.

Probably one of the most memorable run-and-gun shooters from the golden era of arcades. The game is chock-full of personality, with expressive animation and detail packed into nearly every character and object, giving it a distinct look and feel. Its fast-paced gameplay, chaotic action, and varied weapons still hold up today. Unfortunately, the emulation in this port is quite subpar, with the input lag being especially noticeable. It’s a 10/10 game being held hostage by a 0/10 emulator. The Hamster arcade ports on Xbox and PlayStation are far superior.

One of my favorite entries in a legendary series from SNK. Beautiful artwork, hilarious sprite animations and pure chaos combined to create a very memorable experience.

As an arcade enthusiast the input delay is insane and bothersome. Skip this, and play it some other way like on MAME.
