A gritty, non-stop blood bath from the creator of Insanity's Blade, Super Battle Princess Madelyn and the recently released GuardGrave. And a parody of beloved 60s and 70s classic action films, heroes and villains. Deathwish Enforcers... There's gonna be hell to pay!

In all my years in this vital industry, that's the first time that's ever happened. I have never seen a worse case of UX. It is not just bad, it feels intentionally designed to spoil the game. - The default buttons are setup for 4 people to share a single keyboard. - You have 1 keyboard and 1 XInput gamepad? Want to play local coop (irl or remote play together) with a friend (the most common scenario, btw)? Nope, you can't. Player 1 is Keyboard AND XInput_0. - Want to reassign the controllers? Sure, but not the START keys. They are hardcoded at 1, 2, 3, 4 (not numpad). And any players on keyboard that want to join must specifically press those keys. This is not disclosed anywhere, btw. - Just in case, you had second controller to fill the 1st player slot? So your remote-play-together friend can join on keyboard and you stay on the gamepad? Nope. Can't change the order of the controllers. You're forced to play on your worst gamepad. - Want to reassign buttons all at once? Nope. Gotta click 1 by 1 with the mouse and not only once. Click the command >> Click "Reassign" >> Wait for 2 stupid loading rings >> Press the button on the specific gamepad. You have to do that for every button of every gamepad. - Character selection screen has a timer to choose the character, but the timer is invisible. So everybody thinks some idiot in the party has unilaterally forced the game start without waiting for the others to choose, but no, it was the game that did it without telling you there is a countdown running in the RAM only. Devs, please study a bit of UX. You somehow managed to create a complete benchmark of what not to do in the user experience of an application. Your game is not intrinsically bad, and the problem is not the UI either. It is the UX. Please plan better and try to test and replicate how the users will interact with the game. This type of thing tends to impact sales, push negative reviews and increase the amount of refunds. P.S.: The game is clearly a copy of Sunset Riders to the point even the level design is the same, but that is not an issue. Neither a complaint, just a remark.
Deathwish Enforcers is a run-n-gun homage to Konami's Sunset Riders as a 1970s crime film rather than a western, with elements from other famous arcade coin-ops too (most notably Vendetta and Rolling Thunder). It does a good job of imitating arcade games and it's fun while it lasts, but it's not without its flaws. Pros: + Very nice and detailed graphics that look like they come from some 1990s game. + Gryzor87's funky 1970s-styled soundtrack is amazing and appropriate to the themes and overall style. + It's fun to play as (and shoot at) goofy caricatures of famous actors and movie characters instead of generic characters. + The option to retry from the last stage you reached is nice if you want to practice and go for the high scores, as this is a pure arcade-y experience. Cons: - The motorcycle stages are quite annoying and repetitive, they maybe should have been just a portion of a stage like in the second-to-last stage. - The vulgar humour and innuendos are funny at first, then they just become stupid (since only the 1st mission has to do with p0rn as far as I know). - No ending, after beating the last boss the game just kind of stops there, I was expecting something like the cool intro sequence. - The only arcade-style game I know where you can't enter your name or initials in the scoreboard. WTH?
🌠 So cool that it could be an official spin-off of «Sunset Riders», as it's a follower, but doesn't repeat it, having its own tricks. For such a small team of devs, they made a perfectly balanced and working small arcade with the appropriate difficulty, but also a full understanding of the genre, without turning it into a try-hard frustration. Deaths in this game don't cause negativity, forcing you to continue playing this colorful funny action, and quite possibly more than once! Enjoyable gameplay, working references, awesome pixel art and good music. However, too expensive for the full price, especially in regional prices. One playthrough takes a little more than half an hour, so only with a discount.
It's like Sunset Riders, but worse. The pixel art and music are fine enough, but it's can't make up for controls that are somehow twitchy and sluggish at the same time, hitboxes that don't work half the time, bugged level scrolling that makes you go back to the center of the screen for it to work (sometimes), and boring bosses + level design. I beat it in less than an hour and will probably never play it again. Don't buy for full price unless you really like pixel art boobs and ♥♥♥♥ jokes mixed with 80's movie references for bosses.
The amount of sheer LOVE put into this title had me cheesing the entire time. Sunset Riders is one of my all-time favorite games, if not favorite game. I have so many fond memories sitting next to my best friends and just playing it OVER and OVER and OVER again on SNES and Genesis until our fingers hurt. Everything about this game is such a love letter to everything I love... Monster Bath, you get me. Thank you SO much for such an incredible experience.
Very authentic 90s BGM, Sprites and Level-Design. This wouldn't feel out of place in an arcade.
Good shoot em up and funny espeacely with friends
