i played the original metal slug attack on mobile when i was younger. solely for nostalgia, this is a nice game. i do miss a lot of features that arent here, but it makes sense why they are missing. while the game plays the same as the original, the gameplay loop is drastically different and not in a good way. i was sad when MSA shut down its servers, and being able to play a beloved game from when i was a kid is very nice, but if you arent playing for nostalgia/a diehard metal slug fan, i think you can give this game a pass.

I've played the mobile version of this, the mobile version was fun, maybe a few broken characters, but you are able to get them. This version isn't better, but i would say it's a downgraded version of the mobile version, its still fun, it's different, but sometimes I feel like my deck needs more anime girls than the other stuff which is a bummer because it was the vehicles, tanks, planes, alien robots and such that got me hooked in the first place. But like what I have said before, the game is still good, sometimes you got to grind out some of the levels in order to get to the highest tier. There should definitely be more updates, no joke I hopped into a public match not knowing the game was dead for about 32 mins. I really like how it's not pay to win like the mobile version, but the mobile had more consistent updates with fresh designs. This game makes me wish I've played more of the mobile version before it went gone.
