Slay to the rhythm of metal and vengeance on an infernal journey through the eight Hells. Make them fear the beat. Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm FPS bursting with demons, badass weapons, and heavy metal music.

On paper, Metal: Hellsinger sounds like a dream combo, like Hi-Fi Rush meets DOOM. But in reality, it’s just a frustrating, repetitive slog that proves blending two great genres doesn't automatically make a good game. Honestly, the best thing I can say about it is that it’s really short. That is a massive plus here, because it is just not a very enjoyable experience.
The Style and Sound Hold Up
To give credit where it’s due, the game has a very nice art style, and the writing (which is mostly narration) is pretty good. The voice acting is actually really solid and carries the story well. The music is decent too, but let’s be real, it’s not even close to being on par with DOOM.
Rhythm Combat That Fails to Hit the Beat
The actual gameplay is where everything falls apart. For a rhythm shooter, it is incredibly hard to stay on rhythm. And if you take away the gimmick of matching the beat, the combat just feels like a cheaper, clunkier knockoff version of DOOM Eternal.
Repetitive Enemies and Lazy Bosses
It also gets boring fast. There is barely any enemy variety, and the boss fights are incredibly lazy. Every single boss is the exact same model, just reskinned with slightly different abilities. The only exception is the final boss, which swaps out the boredom for pure frustration because the fight is just incredibly cheesy.
Frustrating Performance and Technical Glitches
Compounding all of this is the fact that the game is barely optimized. The performance is rough, and the technical polish is practically non-existent. Half the time, textures don't even load in, leaving you trying to fight on literal invisible ground.
The Verdict: Stick to the Classics
Ultimately, Metal: Hellsinger just isn't fun. Save your time and stick to the games it’s trying to copy.

Guide me oblivion.
I refunded this game solely due to skill and skill alone lol. Also what seemed to be a bit of an inconsistency with the actual beat in comparison. But again, could just be skill. Either way I'm still going to recommend it because I can see the appeal but I'm just bad at it.
One of the games of all time! While story might not be anything outstanding, the music makes up for every complaint one might have! 10/10
Best FPS game I've ever played
buen juego, tiene unos temazos para reventar a cabezasos la muralla china. Si te gusta el metal, sin duda deberias suscribirte a radio desvelo en youtube y jugar este juego xd
Personally, hated this game. I just don't think rhythm shooters are for me. Played BPM and hated that too. My main reason I decided not to continue with this game is because there are no check points, at least on the difficulty I tried. Which just sucks all the motivation to continue to play and get better out of you. The rhythm based gimmick is more annoying than fun imo. I'm sitting there counting 1.2.3.4 the entire time to get my shots off and its just annoying. And I play drums, so it's not like I can't keep a beat or understand basic rhythms. I love FPS, played a lot from a lot of different genres and I generally play on harder difficulties no issue. But I have no interest in this. The game isn't good enough to force a fresh start every run. Which is kinda a shame cuz I looked at later levels on youtube and honestly, it looks like it could be cool. No way I could recommend this slop to anyone whos not familiar with this style of game.
One of the most fun games I've ever played. As if Guitar Hero and Doom had a baby. Infinite fun.
