Okay, so I understand that this game gets a lot of hate coming off of the release of MGSV. I get it. But I think much of the harsh criticisms come from subverted expectations as the first new 'Metal Gear' title following the fall out with Kojima/Konami with biases and passions high. (I WAS ONE OF THEM - I SLEPT ON THIS GAME FOR YEARS LISTENING TO THE BAD RECEPTION) However, this game is really not bad. It's just not the game people wanted. If this game was added as a DLC feature/part of MGSV Online, I think it's reception would be completely different. The beginning will challenge you, only a little, as you learn to manage the controls and survival mechanics of thirst and hunger. After a couple hours in you won't even be thinking about it. Daily log-in reward bonuses always offer clean water and rations among other items. It's damn near impossible to run out of food/water resources. There's also daily and weekly challenges yielding extra resource rewards. (Don't be afraid to drink dirty water to manage thirst) You'll find containers that unlock recipes for cooking and crafting. You'll get to craft a wide variety of weapons and equipment. You also get to build, customise, and defend your base camp as the game progresses. It is a joy to return to the Fox Engine with all of the recycled assets of MGSV. Yes, the story is silly. (I'm not finished it yet) But the gameplay makes up for it. This game has growing pains if you're used to MGSV, but it will grow on you. Especially if you have friends. Fending off waves of zombies is hella fun together. As you aim for S ranks you get insanely good rewards and recipes you get to take back with you to your single player campaign. Keep progressing Single Player, and as you grow, return to Co-op modes to put your progress to the test for further rewards. The Co-op staging area is so cool I can't even. You can see everyone's load-out plastered on a huge wall in the background so you can help one another optimise what you need to handle zombie waves. There's a firing range where you can spawn targets, you can spawn all of the crafting benches/cooking for mission prep. You can shoot each other for fun too. unlimited hunger/thirst and ammo in the staging area so you don't have to worry about that. I'm really enjoying my time with Survive. Honestly, far more than I thought I would be. You have to put the Kojima/Snake stuff in the rear view mirror for this title and enjoy it for what it is.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 16: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Metal Gear Survive is far from the best game in the franchise, but I also don't think it deserves all the hate it received. Many of its systems were clearly designed around aggressive monetization, and you can definitely feel that Konami was trying to push players toward spending money. Even so, the core gameplay can be surprisingly fun, especially when playing cooperatively with friends. The mix of survival mechanics, base building, defense missions, and Metal Gear gameplay isn't a bad idea. In fact, I think there was real potential here. If Konami had invested more time into post-launch support and continued expanding the game, it could have become a genuinely enjoyable co-op survival title filled with fanservice for Metal Gear fans. Instead, it feels like a project that never reached its full potential. The story is unfortunately a mess. It's obvious the game was developed on a tight budget, and while it tries to connect itself to the Metal Gear universe, it never comes close to the storytelling fans expect from the series. Ironically, the game still looks very good thanks to the FOX Engine, whose excellent visuals carry much of the presentation. The biggest disappointment is that the game's future is uncertain. Even the single-player mode requires a constant internet connection, meaning the game will effectively disappear once the servers are eventually shut down. That's a real shame, because despite all its flaws, there's a decent co-op survival game hidden underneath. Pros: + Fun co-op gameplay with friend + Interesting mix of survival, base building, and tower defense mechanics + FOX Engine still delivers excellent visuals Cons: - Aggressive monetization design - Weak and forgettable story - Feels low budget despite its visuals - Wasted potential due to limited post launch support - Always-online requirement, even for single-player, threatens the game's long-term preservation
Before playing: Ah ♥♥♥♥ here we go again Once again I want to satisfy my curiosity. I hope I don't regret it to the point of suffering. And the second reason that made me play it is that I miss Metal Gear 5. After playing: Isn't this a rip-off of Kojima work? Every time I play the game I say, "Your efforts were in vain, Kojima." (Was it actually stolen or it's from him it the beginning? 😱) Thank God I wasn't a fan of Metal Gear for a while. I will be suffering I hope it doesn't happen this time. I don't mind if it's called Metal Gear, but they didn't make it very good from the beginning. like Rising. That one is polished. This one is like a free mobile game. Before I played the game, I searched for mods because I heard about farmin alot . That's what I hate most, but I didn't download them from the beginning. I said, "Let's try it normally." But I was able to endure a training period with a million things: hunger, Stamina, thirst, resources, eating, skin, plants, all of this. Finish quickly. I expected to be like Metal Gear 5. It's simple. You don't feel like you're collecting a lot of resources. This is the thing that ruined the game the most, making it slow and distracting. It's true that the game is a survival game, but it doesn't need to be torture. Thats reminding me of some game i played before 🙄 Then i used mods that remove hunger, thirst, and oxygen. Unfortunately, there are no more relaxing mods. The rest is all cheating. After that, the game became more comfortable. You have a base that you build, like Clash of Clans. From there, you know where the idea of the game come from. Some people like this. I don't like plans, I'm more inclined toward action. The mission system reminds me of Death Stranding. I feel like it's a (conspiracy🧐). Because the missions are about going and exploring in a dusty place, getting information, returning to the base, entering information, and then continuing to explore, like the rhythm of Death Stranding, with torture in Stamina, an empty world with strange things, giant creatures, and collecting broken resources on the ground, and missions. From people who can't go outside the base, and even though you can create energy circuits that make you regain oxygen, like in Death Stranding 😱 (🤯 The facts are starting to show) But why would Kojima want to compete with Konami's stupidity? I feel it's not logical, or because it's from him to begin with. 😵💫 The combat system doesn't rely on guns because resources are scarce. The focus is more on melee combat with a sword or other weapons, and the heavy reliance is on traps and walls that you place to make zombies gather so you can hit them and defend your area. This leaves no variety in the gameplay, and it becomes repetitive after a while. The reason they killed the variety is that they kept the best content, weapons, and bosses after completing the story. These things, based on what I've heard comes from Dead Online, thats mean forget it, and even if it exists, you won't get there until after suffering, repetition, and boring, and all of this isn't worth it. As for the story, I didn't care for a single scene , but there was something that caught my attention. It reminded me of a game!!!!! It looks like a whale, it's huge, and it has a crystalline aura, just like Death Stranding Final Boss 🤯🤯🤯🤯 HOW AND WHY THE END . i dont even own this game, but it sucks my balls
8 hours in and I just had enough of the same ol boring running around, stabbing zombies, drinking water, eating food, losing oxygen level etc..Uninstalling.
Just pretend its not metal gear. Then accept that its a mediocre survival game. Now just enjoy the grind and combat.
Ok, so let's get the obvious stuff out of the way first: - This is NOT a Metal Gear game. It's hardly even a spinoff. - Fu.cKonami for what they did with Kojima, and their overall business practicess. - No, seriously, Fu.cKonami With that out of the way I'll just say it briefly - Metal Gear Survive is 'all right', if not pretty good, for what it is. It's an 'all right' zombie survival game using the MGSV/Fox Engine, as well as MGSV aesthetic. It has little to do with Metal Gear lore, to the point it's better to ignore the title/story whatsoever and just focus on the zombie/survival stuff. I bought the game on the spur of the moment after watching some YouTube video, which - in contrast to the majority of other YT materials on the game - wasn't all that negative. And since I personally enjoyed MGSV gameplay I figured I'll give Metal Gear Survive a chance, especially since it was pretty cheap. And truth be told, despite its flaws, I was hooked on the game from the get-go. It may be just a MGSV zombie re-skin, but it's honestly not quite bad. Dare I say, it's pretty well made and well thought-out. The gameplay loop of exploring the map, collecting resources, building a base, researching new technologies/equipment etc. is really addictive and oddly satisfying. The Fox Engine works quite well with the theme, and the game is build around the whole survival pretty well. The story can easily be ignored, especially since it's only a small part of the overall experience, which opens up fully after the main storyline is finished. Some people may take issue with the "live-service" style of the game, but for me personally - being a solo player anyway - it wasn't much of an issue and I enjoyed playing the game long after finishing the story. I'd lie if I'd say the game is without issues. Objectively it may even be classified as mediocre. My biggest gripe would be the overwhelming grayness, as well as always-online requriement. But throughout the whole time I spent with Metal Gear Survive I hardly experienced any major issues or bugs. On the contrary, I was enjoying some ideas and mechanics, as well as numerous secrets and unlocks, including the fanservice. It was oddly satisfying to sneak up on zombies, or develop both the main character and the base. The audio is surprisingly good, so at times the game works well even as a horror-type experience. In general, if you're fine with ignoring all the background regarding Konami and their treatment of Hideo Kojima, and are willing to approach Metal Gear Survive with an open mind for what it is, then give this game a chance, because it can be quite fun. I was honestly surprised how engaged I was for over 100 hours of playtime. And if I did care about all the live-service/multiplayer stuff then I imagine I'd play the game even more. It's nowhere near as good as MGSV, but it's not a cheap cash-grab some people make it out to be.
Infelizmente esse jogo é podre. Meu Deus, que porcaria essa bomba. Acho que nem de graça valeria o tempo gasto de jogar isso. Eu queria muito que esse jogo fosse bom, mas é totalmente o oposto de bom.
