love this game its so damn good
Good
Kojima's last game before Konami took over. I will give a good review anyways to show respect but realistically i have mixed feeling and i feel bad saying it. --PROS-- -Stealth mechanics are still ahead of their time, and easily i can call them the best i have ever seen -Cutscenes may be diluted, but quality of animations and voice acting is excellent and i don't have anything bad to say. -Access to licensed music you can collect and listen to -Fan service, though this time it was overexaggerated, its nothing new for Kojima -Access to recorded dialogues that can help with understanding the lore, as always over-explained not only in lore but also how things work scientifically to get a better picture -References to previous games, i won't spoil anything here -Mother base itself, grinding your base, assigning staff, developing, Fulton extractions, managing your buddy's --CONS-- -BIGGEST kick in the nuts: Forcing a player to do the same mission that already happened but with a MODIFIER in order to progress the campaign. Same goes with the last mission, you literally REPLAY the first one which means unskipable crawling on the floor, the only difference is the last cutscene. In my opinion it kind of ruined the vibe of ending. -As i mentioned before, actual campaign missions are diluted. One time actually something happens and there's a lot of going on, and the other time its just lots of extraction missions that SHOULD be in my opinion only in SIDE OPS missions. RECOMMENDATION Don't do side ops if you play this game for lore, unless you want to grind but remember you will end up with playtime like me. -Advanced English, though i endured mgs 1,2,3, rising. This time they used too much advanced words you will only hear once in this game and never again. NOT to mention Initialisms like: P.F DARPA XOF FOX i heard it so much and so quick in lots of dialogues my brain that speaks English as second language gets totally fried and i don't understand anything at ALL. -HUMOR, MOST important of all. I mean there was something like putting a lady on a cardboard box or finding a tape with soldier recorded while having diarrhea, BUT sadly that's not enough everything funny is hidden by a secret or an item --PERSONAL OPINION-- Its a good game, but i can feel it was made in a rush. It could be the best game ever like any other Metal Gear games. If you really love this franchise, its a test of patience. 6.5/10
The greatest Metal Gear game
What a game this is. The open world is done right. Little in the way of fetch quests, unless you count completely unnecessary things like wild animal capture. The missions are engaging and there are multiple ways to finish all of them. It's a great blend of linearity and open world and I can only hope we have another game of this caliber again. Even on older hardware this game looks great and runs incredibly smooth.
obra maestraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
