This how u start a series
The original Metal Gear was absolutely ground-breaking in 1987 but it's aged horribly and the story isn't even worth mentioning. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake is a much better game overall with gameplay surprisingly similar to MGS1 and a relatively fleshed out story (for 1990) that's referenced in later games. The only real issues are that it's very easy to get lost or miss that one specific item in a random room you need to progress through a puzzle an hour later. Speaking of puzzles, some of them are completely non-nonsensical, I don't know how you're expected to solve something like the owl puzzle without using a guide, it's not even complicated, the solution just makes no sense. Overall I wouldn't recommended the original game unless you're interested in achievements or just curious, Metal Gear 2 I would recommended but with the caveat of having a walkthrough handy to look at when (not if) you get stuck.
I swear to god this ♥♥♥♥ is harder than dark souls. Oh, and don't forget "R R L R L L R L L R R L R L R R".
These games are part of the reason why guides and video game magazines were necessary. Worst thing about these games were the gas rooms and taking off your gas mask to open doors, other than that it was a nice experience and entry into Metal Gear. (Even though MGS1 briefs you on the events of these games.)
Raiden, turn the game console off right now. What did you say? The mission is a failure. Cut the power right now. What's wrong with you? Don't worry, it's a game. It's a game just like usual. You'll ruin your eyes playing so close to the TV. What are you talking about? Raiden. Something happened to me last night when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go. I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky. It was moving irregularly. Suddenly, there was intense light all around. And when I came to, I was home. What do you think happened to me? Huh? Fine, forget it.
Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaap, yeah both of these are old and stuff so play with a guide.
Great ports! MG1 is really dated now but MG2 is just fantastic! I recommend watching a summary of the first one and jumping straight to the second, since the first one isn't story heavy but is somewhat crucial for the plot of the series.
Идеальная игра, чтобы разочароваться в себе
saltense el uno chavale
garbage lmao at least the story is good, wasn't expecting such a weird twist the second one is horrible too first boss, I have no rations, I'm 3 hits of hp and only after dying a bunch of times do they realize that MAYBE, just MAYBE this boss isn't fair enough to no-hit on the first run could have put a healing item near the entrance, but sure holly can go ahead and suck a fat one, useless woman
