This 360-degree shooter/platformer hybrid lets you choreograph a ‘dance of destruction’ in insanely spectacular battles and set-pieces. RIVE feels like the explosive games of yore, pumping megapixels in true 21st century style.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.43/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Такая потрясающая игра, удивительно, что в неё так мало людей играют! Очень красиво, ярко и бодро.
Control armed vehicle across factory like levels set in space presumably. Action is decent like in Sega games, controls smooth and enjoyable. Challenging boss fights and general mayhem! At your disposal many cool weapons but what's the most important, story that is engaging. Play it but keep in mind your thumbs are gonna get sore so replace them with new ones.
unfinished broken mess devs have abandoned it. shop wise don't waste your money on unfinished broken mechanic products.
Rive could have been a good game, however, it turns into an exercise in frustration. The gameplay loop is to die, learn, try again. This approach is flawed because in Rive, you are continuously dying because you are thrown into a new environment, where the death is waiting for you. Its only when you learn the pattern, you can navigate that area. One saving grace for me was that the game is short. Upon completion, I immediately uninstalled it. That says it all.
RIVE, developed and published by Two Tribes, is a high-octane, twin-stick shooter that marks a triumphant and explosive finale for the studio. As their final project before stepping away from game development, Two Tribes poured an immense amount of energy and craftsmanship into a game that’s equal parts chaotic shooter, precision platformer, and nostalgic love letter to classic arcade action. What emerges is a tightly designed, fast-paced experience that delivers intensity, humor, and mechanical variety from the first moment to the last. In RIVE, players control Roughshot, a grizzled space scavenger piloting a heavily armed spider tank, as he explores a derelict starship filled with deadly security systems, hostile robots, and environmental hazards. The narrative is light but entertaining, driven by snappy dialogue and a self-aware sense of humor. Roughshot’s banter with the ship’s mysterious AI guide adds a layer of personality to the mayhem, and the tone remains irreverent without becoming grating. The writing isn’t the focus, but it does enough to give the game character and momentum as you blast your way through wave after wave of enemies. Gameplay is where RIVE truly excels. The twin-stick controls are smooth and precise, offering tight responsiveness whether you're dodging incoming fire, platforming through deadly gauntlets, or returning fire with a wide array of weapons. The level design constantly changes up the pace, shifting between open arenas, side-scrolling platforming sections, zero-gravity sequences, and claustrophobic corridors teeming with enemies. These variations keep the action feeling fresh, even as the game leans into its bullet-hell chaos. Each level is densely packed with hazards, enemies, and environmental tricks designed to test your reflexes and your ability to adapt quickly. Combat is relentless and satisfying. Your spider tank is equipped with a default machine gun and a rotating arsenal of secondary weapons, including missiles, mines, shotgun blasts, and swarm bots. Ammo for these secondary attacks is limited, requiring strategic usage rather than mindless spam. The game’s difficulty ramps up quickly, and by the second half, RIVE becomes a brutal test of skill, timing, and memorization. It rewards players who learn enemy patterns, master movement, and make full use of their arsenal. Checkpoints are generous, but deaths are inevitable—this is a game that challenges you constantly, in a way that’s tough but rarely feels unfair. One of the most interesting features is the hacking mechanic. As you progress, Roughshot gains the ability to hack enemy drones, turning them into allies. Some will fight alongside you, others will open new paths, and a few will serve utility functions like healing. This adds a layer of tactical depth to the otherwise frantic gameplay, letting players approach encounters with some level of choice and creativity. The game cleverly uses this system to pace the combat and inject moments of strategy between the action-heavy sequences. Visually, RIVE is vibrant and sharp, with detailed environments, explosive effects, and smooth animations. The design of the world leans into a grimy, industrial sci-fi aesthetic, with just enough variation across areas to avoid visual fatigue. The screen can get overwhelmingly busy during the more intense firefights, but the visual clarity remains surprisingly intact, thanks to distinct enemy designs and smart use of color contrast. The soundtrack complements the action perfectly, delivering a pumping, techno-inspired score that elevates the energy without distracting from the gameplay. Performance is rock-solid across platforms, including the Steam version. Load times are minimal, frame rates remain stable even during large-scale battles, and controls are highly responsive whether using keyboard and mouse or a controller. The UI is minimalist but effective, and the game’s challenge modes, speedrun features, and post-game content add a nice layer of replayability for those craving even more intensity after the main campaign ends. Perhaps the most poignant aspect of RIVE is its place in Two Tribes' history. As their swan song, it feels like a culmination of everything the studio learned throughout their years in development. Unlike their earlier, more family-friendly titles like Toki Tori, RIVE is loud, aggressive, and unapologetically hardcore. It’s as though the developers decided to go out with a bang—both literally and figuratively—and the result is a game that embodies everything great about indie action titles: creativity, polish, and uncompromising design. In the end, RIVE is a brilliant example of how tight mechanics, varied level design, and a commitment to challenge can come together to form a deeply satisfying experience. It’s not for the faint of heart—this is a game that demands your attention and punishes mistakes—but for those who crave pure action layered with moments of clever design and unexpected twists, it’s a gem well worth playing. Two Tribes may have left the industry, but with RIVE, they left on one of the strongest notes an indie studio could hope for. Rating: 8/10
RIVE: Wreck, Hack, Die, Retry! – это настоящий подарок для всех, кто любит игры с характером. Это не просто игра, это настоящее приключение, которое заставит вас почувствовать себя героем собственного взрывного боевика. Однозначно рекомендую!
What this game has going for it are the excellent visuals. And those are wasted on the rest of it. I do enjoy shmups and this sort-of felt like one until it didn't. It is basically more of a game of memory, not reaction. Like you get to some area and it very suddenly throws something at you that is a one-hit kill. Next time you know it will come and try to avoid that. Next step is the same. And then the same, and the same, and the same. It's annoying, not exciting.
