Hello! I’d like to share some constructive feedback I genuinely mean no offense or negativity. The core concept of the game is promising and definitely has potential. However, I feel that certain aspects of the execution could be improved. At first, I thought the early part of the game felt a bit rushed, but I expected things to develop more as I progressed unfortunately, that didn’t quite happen. Some music choices stood out in a positive way, such as in the pirate-themed map or the one with the pulsing heart, which I really appreciated. But overall, I felt the backgrounds were a bit too static and didn’t contribute much to the atmosphere, and many of the music tracks felt too similar which made them come across as a bit repetitive. I also noticed some syncing issues in certain maps, the beats didn’t always align well with the inputs, or there were long sequences of notes that didn’t seem to follow the rhythm, which made those sections confusing. The difficulty levels also felt inconsistent some maps were very easy, while others were suddenly much harder. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but the order of difficulty was a bit jarring. Regarding the map creation system, I think it would be a great improvement if players had an online space to share their maps with each other. I understand that this might be technically challenging, but it could really enhance the game’s long-term appeal. Apologies if my English isn’t perfect I hope my message is still clear and helpful. Thank you for your work and effort on the game!
Ellietendo's Review Of Melody Ball
I received a free copy of this game for review purposes. I used a mouse & keyboard combo for gameplay.
Pros:

Pretty Visuals - The visuals on “Melody Ball” are incredibly relaxing and very appropriate for a rhythm game. I enjoy watching the patterns and backgrounds as I play along.
Customization - I do love the customization of the rhythm tracker; it really brings a fresh element. The fact that there are also power-ups as well (i.e. being able to view the next few notes) really helps when confronting a tricky song.

Cons:

Frame Drops – One thing I did notice, which is a bit of a huge problem, is that the game would have very sudden frame drops. Now, for most games, this isn't a big deal. However, in rhythm games, it can be the difference between achieving a perfect score and failing the level completely.
Out Of Sync Rhythm – one other thing that also bothered me is that the “Notes” aren’t placed in a musical rhythm (as in fitting with the music), but rather a random pattern or sequence. This makes completing each level much more challenging than it needs to be.
Not Known Music - most rhythm games either use popular known music and/or use their own songs that have a clear rhythm. “Melody Ball” does neither of these things. They are obscure songs and, as noted above, do not have a rhythm that is easy to follow.

Overall:
As much as I love a good rhythm game, it is hard to recommend this game in particular purely due to the technical execution. The art style is wonderful, and even though the music is not popular songs, it's still very chill and fun to play along. If the developers fixed the frame drops and rhythm issues, I feel as if “Melody Ball” would definitely be a lot more popular. Again, this is an occasion where I wish there were a “Maybe Recommend” option. This is not a bad game, just a few areas that need improvement in order to be enjoyed even more.
Cute design and has the bones to be something, however, there are frame drops/pauses that are honestly frustrating. The game also features out of sync rhythm; the notes aren’t placed in any musical rhythm and are more placed in random pattern sequences, which makes the game feel more like a "hit the target" game rather than a rythm one. Not having the notes placed in rythm makes completing each level more challenging than it needs to be. The lack of "lives" is also very frustrating, especially since the music throws you off more than helps. The music does not have a rhythm that is easy to follow, and I personally found it easier to play when I completely turned the volume off.. Which says all you need to know.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As an FPS player, I'm always looking for creative ways to train my reflexes and focus — and that’s exactly what I found in Melody Ball. Even though it’s a music game, it’s surprisingly demanding when it comes to precision, timing, and concentration, making it a great tool for shooter players who want to sharpen their skills. The gameplay is simple but addictive: the balls fall in sync with the music, and you have to hit them at the right time. Miss one? Game over. It creates a pressure very similar to those intense FPS moments, where even the smallest distraction can cost you the match. 🎮 Highlights: ✅ Fast-paced reflex training ✅ Boosts focus and coordination ✅ Catchy and immersive soundtrack ✅ Perfect for quick sessions between matches 🔁 I started out just curious and ended up addicted. If you enjoy challenges and want to step away from the crosshair without losing focus, I highly recommend it!

I will start by saying that I did receive this product for free through keymailer.co . I have played through several of the levels and have enjoyed my time playing so far. I love that there are different skins that you can pick for the ball that guides you through the songs. The spooky pumpkin face so far is my favorite. This game does take some concentration, but it is very enjoyable and the music is very relaxing.
Artwork is cute, but the chart design is often questionable. For many of the songs, it did not sound like the rhythm of the chart followed the rhythm of the song, with just random 8th note streams that don't correspond to anything rhythmically or melodically in the song. For fans of rhythm games, I'd recommend getting Quaver instead for a more solid rhythm game experience, or perhaps Tadpole Treble if you're looking for cute artwork.
