Cara, pra quem jogou quando lançou, na década de 90, vale muito a pena, por apenas R$ 6,49 em preço cheio e pegando R$ 1,16 quando pega em promoção? Vale muuuuuuuuito a pena, e, pra quem quer conhecer, é um dos melhores jogos de corrida e combate da década de 90. Zerei ele pra matar saudade e, conseguiu matar minha saudade. Lembrando que ele não executa direto pela Steam, da erro, para acertar isso vc tem q ou ir na página do jogo e executar direto no MegaRace 2.exe ou renomear o MegaRace 2.exe para Launcher.exe, ai ele passa a executar direto da steam. Meu zerado em vídeo, para você que não conhece, conhecer um pouco do jogo. 游侠送的，喜加一 这游戏最大的亮点在于人物建模，在20世纪末竟然可以使游戏中的人物以假乱真，堪称奇迹， 配合和炫酷的BGM，操纵着20世纪的赛车与其他赛车争夺第一，刺激程度碾压市面上99%的赛车游戏 还有独家的赛车改装系统，除此之外赛车还添加有武器来干扰其他赛车，打击感很不错。 总体来说非常不错，值得入手，这游戏非常耐玩。

The hours I used to play this game as a young fresh gamer on my pre 2000s windows PC, this was and still is a great racing game, the best of the series in my opinion. Excellent graphics and very nice courses. I also enjoyed playing the game because of the nice music that sounds a bit like trance / goa. Megarace 2 is a classic cult game in which you can take out opponents armed with missiles, mines and other weapons during a race tournament. Played this game more than 13 years back so its fits right in the nostalgia game category for me. It's still the same. Tibet is hard. Will try to beat it with all my years of gaming experience this time cause I don't think I ever did. Wish me luck! 10/10 Edit: Tibet is still hard :#

I remember buying some shovelware pack of games at Walmart as a kid and it happened to include MegaRace 1 and 2, and in all honestly they didn't belong in the collection. In fact I'd say they were the only non-shovelware games in the package. MegaRace 2 is an FMV-based racing game, meaning the tracks and environments are simply pre-rendered recordings that you race on. Unlike the first MegaRace, however, tracks actually have multiple paths to take as well as multiple camera angles. While you'd think this would turn out to be a mess, it isn't a total one. It's definitely janky but still works, and it only adds to the game's charm (as well as frustration) The plot involves the player being deemed the Enforcer, however unlike the first game where the goal is to destroy the vehicles of various gangs, MegaRace 2 is primarily a racing game with the additions of missiles and landmines. Similarly to that game however, the entire game takes place in virtual reality as it is broadcast on the channel VWBT. This is of course, where the factor that makes MegaRace stand out comes in. Lance Boyle (played by Christian Erickson of Heavy Rain and Hitman movie fame) is the quirky, sometimes insane, and strangely charming host of MegaRace. Generally more crazy compared to the first game (and somehow less crazy than how he acts in 3), he informs the player of each track's backstory as well as entertains the audience. His live-action cutscenes almost make this game worth buying alone. The gameplay involves the player racing a series of 3 races per track, with two in between sequences to repair your car, buy weapons and shields, as well as other cars. These parts introduce money management, which is crucial to your success in races. The controls are a bit slippery but work fine, however this means you may have some trouble controlling your car at first or avoiding walls. Enemy racers fire missiles, bump into you, and of course try to overtake you. There's also some obvious rubberbanding at times which can get sort of annoying, especially as the game goes onto the longer and more difficult tracks. Tracks are also littered with obstacles which are sometimes extremely hard to avoid due to the game's controls. Tracks also have shortcuts for the player to take, often times these are crucial to winning races. One underrated factor to this game is the soundtrack. There's a lot of great tracks in this game, just like MegaRace 1. The series undoubtably has criminally underrated soundtracks (including MegaRace 3 at times). I'm also happy to say the DOSBox config packaged with the game works great, and since this game is only $3 (sometimes 60 cents on sale), it's well worth the price. While MegaRace 2 isn't perfect, it's well worth its low asking price. For its underrated music, great FMV cutscenes and host, put together with slippery yet fun gameplay, I fully recommend this game to racing fans, classic game enthusiasts or FMV buffs.

Купил по скидке, и меня сразу накрыла ностальгия по 90-м, когда такие игры были вершиной технологий. Главная фишка тут - ведущий шоу Лэнс Бойл, который без остановки сыпет дурацкими шутками, но меня больше привлекла его ассистентка - та самая девушка, которая в 90-м была для меня настоящим секс-символом, с её пиксельной улыбкой и короткими шортами. Геймплей - аркадные гонки с видом из кабины, где нужно не только приехать первым, но и пострелять из ракет по соперникам, а физика там такая, что машина на поворотах плывёт как утюг по маслу. Графика сейчас, конечно, ужасная, но в этом пиксельном безумии есть свой шарм, особенно когда ты въезжаешь в тоннель и начинается этот дикий футуризм. В общем, если вы хотите окунуться в детство и поржать с дурацких диалогов, берите, а для серьёзных гонок лучше поищите что-то новее. И если этот обзор наберёт 50 лайков и 10 наград - сыграю 100 часов. "Та самая" игра в которой многие из наз провели не один десяток часов. И спустя годы она до сих пор "та самая" несмотря на устаревшую графику. Здесь на первый план выходит геймплей, саундтрек и ощущение того, что игра сделана с любовью и юмором. Однозначно рекомендую к покупке.
