Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 9.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

TLDR: This game is great if you are aware of what you are getting. This game is great if you get the DLCs. This game is ok if played with no DLCs. --------- The game has two gameplay loops. The first and most straightforward is battle. You pilot a giant robot that shoots lasers, missiles, or autocannons against enemy robots and vehicles. Piloting a mech can be first or third person. You move "slow" but also have layers of armor and compartmentalized hp boxes, so it's difficult to take you down. Think like an FPS/TPS of attrition. The second gameplay loop is a management layer, where you buy and sell mechs and weapons, decide where to travel in a very large star map, and customize your mechs. Both gameplay loops reinforce each other, as you get money or parts from combat, which then you use on the management layer to improve your next combat drop. This overall loop is very addicting and has near endless customization, making each playthrough totally unique to another playthrough. ------- Technically speaking the game is "serviceable". Using a previous version of Unreal engine the game works well enough, though you'll be missing the features of Unreal 5. This means that the graphics are ok, but you'll notice "pop in" and other things. It's not terrible but very noticeable. The audio is hit and miss. Sound effects can be full and immersive, while others seem to be missing. Music is once again, "ok" enough, but nothing to write home about. The lore is incredibly deep with countless factions, characters, and battles, most of which you can interact with but are not required to do so. The main story is ok and takes you through the map. Basically this is a very fun combat shooter with an incredibly deep management layer, in lore filled setting, at a mediocre budget and production level. BUT here's the catch, the DLCs production level has steadily increased on each one, and are integrated into the main game and campaign. More mission variety, better maps, better AI, better story, animated cutscenes, amazing music, etc., all have been accomplished and added by DLC. So in summary this game, vanilla, is a 5/10 (average). There's good and mediocre aspects, a bit dry but a lot to do, though after a while it gets repetitive. However, with all the DLCs integrated this game is an easy 8/10 (very good) game that eventually addresses the majority of its vanilla weaknesses. It even shines where previously there was weakness. ------ Played the game with one DLC (basically vanilla) several years ago, and played recently (2026) with all DLCs. I had fun many years ago but it was repetitive. I had a blast now (2026), and the repetiveness is almost non existent.

Far and away almost a different game to what it was when it came in originally when you include the DLC's. The dev team is passionate and knows the lore, and the mod community is thriving. Sandbox gameplay allows for hundreds of hours of replayability. The option to start new careers as new game +'s. As an old fan of the universe from the old cartoon to MW2 and MW3 on pc, who could foresee that we would have such an awesome game delivered to us over the years. Note that he story and lore are largely built into all the information that you can read in mission reports, and the newsfeed in the game.
I ve been playing since the release of the game on the epic store, and i bought it again on steam, with all the DLCs. That should indicate how much i value my time with Mechwarrior 5!
This is my first Mechwarrior game, although I am familiar with the IP have read the books when i was younger, and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it! I would recommend it for someone to try
DLC 자주 내서 좋긴한데 AI는 개선 할 생각이 없냐? 아 진짜 AI 좀 어케좀 해봐라
good challenging mech game with good lore
Great sandbox game and good story... which got better with each DLC. Excellent with YAML mods!
great game fun to blow stuff up with and its full of plenty of missions. I cant get bored of this game
It's a good but not great game with an imperial ton of DLC and a huge modding community. If you like Battletech, go for it. If you like big stompy robots in general, it's probably a safe bet. If you are looking for the perfect game, you may be a bit let down, but if you want a re-playable sandbox experience in a chaotic galaxy full of malarkey, you're in the right place. Side note, the animated scenes in the newest, Clan-facing DLCs give a lot more character to the mercenaries in your company, I hard recommend those if you are just looking for a little extra story.
One of my favorite games, much better in coop, sadly I know nobody into this genre of game. But great mods!! and only the host needs the dlc. If you have a group that is fun and willing to coop this game. It's definitely worth it especially during a sale.
