About
Mechanized warfare is reborn! Welcome to Mechanized Corps: Rebirth. Set in the critically acclaimed Dark Horizons Universe, this reimagining of Max Gaming's 2016 action shooter, Dark Horizons Mechanized Corps, follows the success of 2024's tabletop wargame.
THE SETTING
The year is 2361. Three hundred years have passed since Cold War rivalries culminated in nuclear war. Humankind has expanded beyond the Earth, colonized the SOL system, colossal space stations hang in orbit, and Mars has claimed independence. Governments and corporations now struggle to control the system's natural resources and giant walking war machines, collectively known as Mechanized Corps (MCs).
The SOL system is in relative peace, with Factions (Nations, Corporations, Mercenaries, and Trade guilds) settling differences in minor skirmishes or arena-style battles. How long will this peace last and degrade back to massive battles?
GAMEPLAY
Players take control of these Mechanized Corp units, armed to the teeth with Gatling guns, missiles, lasers, and more. Fight offline or online and earn credits to improve your machine with more powerful weapons, flight systems, shields, cloaking devices, and orbital bombardments.
Fighting for their faction or taking up arms as corporate mercenaries, MCs currently fight in large combat zones in the squad-on-squad challenges to head off all-out war.

So far, so good! It's a lot easier to get into compared to some mech games but still has a lot of options. The bots are fun to play with and there are some good people playing the game. Good bones and can't wait to see what comes next! Very interested in the single player campaign when that comes out! The Good: Dedicated team working on the game with good communication. The bones of the game are there with the main concepts in place for how mech interact and fight. Very cheap at only $10 (On sale for $9 at time of writing). Worth it for a few hours wasted at that price. The Bad: Very early in release. Only 4 maps. The Ugly: Waiting on the SP campaign. Small dev team. Overall: Yeah, support small indie developers. Cheap game. Lots of promise. It works for what it is at the price it's at. With more coming I feel like this is a great value.
This game is one of the best I've ever played. I am a huge Mechwarrior fan and got into Mechwarrior at a very young age and always found it to be quite cool. This game popped up for sale as early access and I decided to check it out because it seemed very similar. The spirit of Mechwarrior does, in fact, live in this game. I have had contact with the developers who are very nice people and care very much about putting out a quality indie game. As far as game play, it's very fun. We have a lot weapons and a good amount of mechs to play with. If you can find multiplayer games, it's a real joy to get to play and the devs are even involved more often then not. They take feedback from the community (as long as it's reasonable feedback) and are working hard in their spare time to make a truly glowing product. So for I am really enjoying this and do not regret having this title at all. It has a long way to go but I am proud to own this. I suggest it to anyone who likes this type of game. Easy 10/10 for me.
Not the most familiar with mech shooters, but this one has a certain charm to it. Design wise the vehicles rest on a fine line between realistic proportions and more esoteric sci-fi, and the tank-adjacent controls feel immersive and snappy. The battles usually take anywhere between half an hour to an hour at max or so, with no one-shot-kill weapons leading to a feeling of sturdiness, being able to take many hits before being destroyed in combat as one would expect of a heavily armored war machine. The classes suit their roles nicely, yet future game modes will help evolve that aspect later down the road. The game is still very much in early access; multiplayer in particular has had a number of bugs in need of fixing, however apart from that things have been going smoothly. I can't wait to see what the campaign has in store for the future, plus more maps and game modes will be coming out soon hopefully. I recommend giving it a try.
Been waiting about a decade now for a finished product and still haven't received anything I was hoping for. No cool destruction no buldings to blow up that dont look like it was made for original xbox, only a few mechs to choose from, no story to speak of and mp never took off. To say I got this for free is a stretch, I did pay for the original which I guess was abandoned by the original dev, so were again at the beginning of another likely long wait. I cant recommend the game, it has poor development history no one seems to have what is needed to get the game out of the ditch. So dont bother to be honest but the devs are pretty chill guys, they dont get personally offended, they likely too busy on whatever is going on to pay attention to a forum that has been dead since practically the beginning. It just sucks that some games like this just dont get the chance it needs to be opened up too the larger community but this is such a niche field now, not that many even play mechwarrior anymore compared to even a decade ago.
It's a good start game. Waiting for campaing and mission to get out but the bases is good. Skirmish is ok. You can be 8 players at a time. And server is easy to make. I enjoy it. There is 12 chassis of mech to choose from. Make the mech you want with the weapon you want. Just watch overheating.
The game isn't too bad, customization is interesting, you can setup your weapon groups, a good place to build upon. However, there is currently no Campaign so you can either fight Bots or do Multiplayer. However, there are no players unfortunately, at least when I tried to search for a match so I couldn't join one. I played a few skirmish matches against bots, the bots were pretty simple and would run into each other if they got too close. Other than that, they just seem to focus on your cockpit. I might pickup the game in the future if it gets a larger playerbase, but right now I don't see myself playing it.
Fun game! Excited to try more.
please make a game based on exos! more of a relalistic approach like the Exos from Avatar movie or the Power loader from aliens something like that!
Changing my review from praise and hope and postivity to negative. When updates?
