It feels very realistic with how the game is from inside the cockpit of the Mechs Love that. Only thing missing is a VR headset and a seat that vibrates would raise the experience for me! Fun game stayed away from it as I was concerned it was to complicated to control on PC but good learning curve in this game.
I got tired of anime mechs without any feeling of weight, so I went back to monkey brain big heavy stomp stomp mechs and this game just delivers. Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! Stomp!
Too many bugs and less immersive than Mercs 5.
its battltech and clans, thats why.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love MechWarrior games. I love stories. I love the universe. Please make more. This was amazing fun and story telling. Try diferent resource management styles depending on factions and wars. Add a little more stratagy. Its all good. Loved it.
VERY different from MW5 Mercenaries, but it's neat. Far more linear and pretty much zero forward thinking required like how in Mercs you have to consider "Hmmm, this mission might financially devastate me for months to a year. I better not do it". That kind of thing just isn't here. Get in, beat some Spheroids up, come back to the menu, and repair everything before the next mission. Everyone looks a bit off, but I guess they are all a bunch of test tube babies.
Gameplay is more challenging than Mercenaries but also more interesting and less repetitive IMO. I like both games though. Mercs feels more casual - just go in, fight some mechs, repair, repeat. This feels more involved, and not just because of the story and dialogs. You can upgrade your pilots, mechs, and weaponry/equipment in addition to changing loadouts and buying/selling mechs. Mission options are more limited of course, but that's understandable for a story based game. You also get 4 teammates instead of the max of 3 in Mercs, and giving commands to them to coordinate attacks seems more necessary in this game. Finally, environments in this game are more varied and detailed, and performance is better for me. One drawback to the difference between them is the UI for changing loadouts and HUD are different, which took some getting used to. Would have been nice if they were more similar since I'd been playing Mercs for quite a while before this and was accustomed to the UI.
